CORRESPONDENCE AND PETITIONS
Corporation of the Town of Ingersoll re: Request for Support of
Anti-whistling By-laws
#548. Moved by Councillor Timpson Seconded by Councillor Jones
THAT the report be received as infoqnation and Council of the Town
of Aurora do not support the resolution to enact a By-law
supporting anti-whistling at fully protected railway crossings.

Colleen Gowan, Municipal Clerk, Memo re: Request for Reduction in Easement
-Pool Permit -105 Devins Drive
#549. Moved by Councillor Jones Seconded by Councillor Ochalski
THAT an easement of no less than 1.5 metres would be acceptable for
105 Devins Drive;
AND THAT the Owner be responsible for all legal costs to affect the
necessary changes.

Mayor John West, Memo re: Aurora Train Station
#550. Moved by Councillor Timpson Seconded by Councillor Mcintyre
THAT Council endorse the purchase of the Aurora Train Station by Go
Transit from C.N. Railway.

Committee of the Whole Meeting Minutes No. 40-90, dated Tuesday, September

THAT the Minutes of Committee of the Whole Meeting Number 40-90 be
received, and that the recommendations carried by the Committee be
adopted.

PW90-077-271 -Completion Certificate, Aurora Civic Complex, Temporary
Construction Access
#552. Moved by Councillor Timpson Seconded by Councillor Weller
THAT the Completion Certificate for construction of the "Temporary
Construction Access Road to the Aurora Civic Complex", payable to
Novacor Construction Ltd., in the amount of $23,027.80 be approved.
THAT the completion date be established as August 24, 1990.

THAT leave be given the Mover and Seconder to introduce the
following by-law for Third Reading:
3204-90 Being a By-law to authorize the construction of a Civic
Administration Complex.
AND THAT the same be taken as read a Third Time.

THAT leave be given the Mover and Seconder to introduce the
following by-laws for Third Reading:
3210-90 Being a By-law to amend By-law 2613-83 as amended, a
By-law to provide for the Regulation of Parking in the
Town of Aurora.
3223-90 Being a By-law to appoint Property Standards Officers.
3224-90 Being a By-law for licensing, regulating and governing
vehicles from which refreshments are sold for consumption
by the public.
AND THAT the same be taken as read a Third Time.

Re: Ward System. Could a Committee
be formed to meet with those persons
advocating a Ward System through the
Ontario Municipal Board.
Mayor West to check if this is
feasible.
Status of Tree By-law at Region.
Mayor explained that the Regional
Solicitor was meeting with the
Ministry and interested groups.
Should have a By-law ready within
the next month.
Property Standards By-law in North
York is superior to ours. Could the
Building Department consider
tightening our By-law using North
York as an example.
