MINUTES - Council - 19890322MINUTES TOWN OF AURORA COUNCIL MEETING NO. 16-89 Boardroom, Town of Aurora Administrative Offices Wednesday, March 22, 1989 8:00 p.m. COUNCIL MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE Mayor West in the Chair, Councillors Jones, Mcintyre, Ochalski, Pedersen, and Timpson. STAFF MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE DECLARATION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST Councillors Stewart, McKenzie, and Weller absent on Vacation. Chief Administrative Officer, Clerk, Deputy Clerk, Director of Personnel Director of Leisure Services, Director of Planning, Director of Public Works, Treasurer, and Fire Chief. Chief Building Official absent on Vacation. Mayor West declared a possible Conflict of Interest in Accounts paid to Decor Glass and did not take part in or vote on any questions in this regard, or attempt in any way to influence the voting on such question. Councillor Timpson declared a possible Conflict of Interest in Accounts paid to York Region Board of Education due to employment with same, and also declared a possible Conflict of Interest in the resolution authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to execute a partial release of Option on lands owned by Armadale Properties, as same is intended to be conveyed to York Region Board of Education, and did not take part in or vote on any questions in this regard, or attempt in any way to influence the voting on such question. Walker, Director of Public Works, the financial securities held in the amount of $25,000.00 for Spectrum Educational Supplies and $8,000.00 for K.C. Moved by Councillor Ochalski Seconded by Councillor Pedersen THAT the week of April 9 -15, 1989, be proclaimed "National Volunteer Week" in the Town of Aurora; and THAT the Association of Municipalities be requested to support a resolution to allow amendments to the Income Tax provisions, reinstating the abi 1 ity to deduct 100% of charitab 1 e contributions made to designated agencies.
