THAT the content of the Agenda be approved as outlined herein.
AMENDMENT -Upon the question of the adoption of the resolution it
was:

THAT recommendation No. 12 on the agenda be deferred until the next
meeting; correspondence item (c) from the Liquor Licence Contro 1
Board be deleted; and the late report of the Director of Public
Works concerning safety issues on George Street be added to
Unfinished Business.

City of Brockville re: School Board Allocation Formula for Distributing
School Board Costs among participating municipalities

THAT the resolution concerning the School Board allocation formula
used by the Minister of Education be endorsed; and
THAT a letter be forwarded to the Minister of Education requesting
a delegation of Ministry representatives to appear before Council
to explain the formula and its effects on the Town of Aurora.

1. THAT legal-sized school area signs remain in place, the larger
signs being used in rural, high-speed areas;
2. THAT additional school area signs be erected at appropriate
locations on Kennedy Street West, east and west of George
Street; and
3. THAT no further action be taken at this time with respect to
"No Stopping Here To Corner" and "No Stopping" signage or to
the request for a special 40 km/h speed zone until such time
as the site plan presently before staff proposing a bus
loading area having a width of 3.0 metres is processed, the
propos a 1 constructed and the effect noted over a reasonab 1 e
period of time.
AMENDMENT -Upon the question of the adoption of the resolution it

THAT the "No Parking Here To Corner" signs be erected in accordance
with the Highway Traffic Act regulations at the requested locations.

THAT the Soccer Club be granted a first-stage building permit to
commence construction; and
THAT there be an informal meeting held with Soccer Club members at
6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11th in Committee Room 1 to
discuss their proposed building.

Counci 11 or Timpson presented Mayor West and the Town with an Olympic Torch
Relay Flag to be flown at the Administrative Centre until the Torch Relay
passes through Aurora on December 22, 1987.
