MINUTES - Council - 19870506MINUTES TOWN OF AURORA COUNCIL MEETING NO. 22-87 Boardroom, Town of Aurora Administrative Offices Wednesday, May 6, 1987 8:00 p.m. COUNCIL MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE Mayor West in the Chair; Councillors Buck, Barker, Jones, McKenzie, Paivio, Pedersen, Timpson and Weller. PRESENTATION OF THE AUDIT REPORT Mr. Ian Bowell, a representative of the Town's auditing firm, Collins, Barrow, presented to Council a brief summary of the Financial Statements and Auditors' Report for the year ended December 31, 1986. It was indicated that the financial statements are an accurate indication of the financial position of the Town; that Aurora uses sound accounting practices; and overall the Town has a good financial basis. Eng., Aurora, Ontario re: Our Lady of Grace Park - Removal of Baseball Diamond Mr. Comfort appeared before Council to address the report of the Director of Lei sure Services regarding the baseba 11 diamond in the Our Lady of Grace Park listed for consideration under Unfinished Business on the agenda. On behalf of the concerned citizens he requested that the issues in the report regarding the remova 1 of the facility and the revised plans for the park development be considered separately. A sample of the Lakeview literature distributed to new home purchasers indicating the school and park site was provided. CARRIED to be Officer Mr. John Nimmo, Hopeda 1 e Farms re: Recommendations made by Committee of Adjustment at its meeting of April 27, 1987 and Granada Property Mr. Nimmo appeared and briefly indicated his concern for the approval of the Granada Investments severance application B-7-87 by the Committee of Adjustment with the Part Lot Control exemption condition imposed as requested by the Town.
