April 22, 1975.
Decis~on on the application was reserved bythe Land Division Committee
with further consideration being given on April 28, 1975.
It is the decision of the Land Division Committee that Application
File No. A.75.2 be and the same is hereby approved as amended to
provide a minimum area of two acres after widening and a minimum
frontage of 200 feet for the following reasons:
1. The applicant's proposal conforms withfue provisions of the Official
Plan;
2. The proposed lot would comply withfue provisions of By-law No. 2083,
if such By-law is reinstated by the Ontario Municipal Board;
3. The proposed lot, and the remaining lands, would be suitable for
the intended residential and agricultural uses, respectively;
4. The proposed lot, and the remaining lands, would be compatible
with the established pattern of development in the area,
and upon fulfilment of the following conditions:
1. Payment of all taxes to date, to the Town of Aurora;
2. Payment of a lot levy of $700.00 to the Town of Aurora;
3. Submission to the Secretary-Treasurer, of an amendment to the
application, in writing, providing for a minimum lot area of
two acres after widening, a minimum frontage of 200 feet, and a
revised westerly boundary line, following the line of the creek;
4. Ontario Municipal Board approval of By-law No.2083;

5. Ontario Municipal Board approval of· an appropriate amendment
to By-law No. 2083, passed by Council in response to an application
submitted by the applicant, to permit the use of the proposed lot
for residential purposes, or submission to the Secretary-Treasurer
of written advice from the Municipality that such amendment is not
necessary;
6. Conveyance of a strip ofBnd, by deed, 27 feet in width across
the Regional Road No, 12 frontage of the proposed lot, to the
Regional Municipality of York, without cost and free of encum-
brances;
7• Submission to the Secretary-Treasurer, of a fully executed deed,
in triplicate, conveying the proposed lot;
8. Submission to the Secretary-Treasurer, of three white prints
of a registerd Plan of Reference of the applicant's entire lands,
which conforms substantially with the application as amended by
the Committee;
9. Fulfilment of conditions 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8 not later than
MARCH 29, 1976.
NOTE: The above conditions must be fulfilled before certificate of
consent can be issued (Subsection (12) of Section 29 of The
Planning Act (R.s.o. 1970, Ch. 349) as amended.)

Mayor Buck presented a report of Council in Committee in which the
Committee respectfUlly submitted the following:
A meeting of Council in Committee was held on Monday, June 9th. 1975

Present were: Mayor Evelyn Buck.
Councillors: Davis, Jackson, Miller, Roth, Simmons,
Stewart and Timpson.
Item #1: Meeting with representatives of E & I1 and York Taxi:
A. Mr. P. H ebb of E & I1 Taxi and Mr. Russell Hughes of York Taxi met with
Council in Committee and advised of the insufficient business to maintain
a twenty-four hour, ~seven day a week, operation under By-law #2011-74.
The two taxi operators are requesting that between the hours of 12:00
p.m. and 6:00 a.m. from Sunday to Thursday and from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00
a.m.on Fridays and Saturdays and that they not be required to remain
open during this time.
B. Council in Committee would concur with the above request and would
recommend that the Clerk-Administrator prepare an amended By-law for

Mr. J. Langdon of Travelways Ltd. met with Council in Committee to
discuss the future of the Aurora Bus Lines Ltd. in providing service
and transportation to the Town of Aurora subject to their final
purchase from R. Farquharson and approval from the Department of
Transport and the Town of Aurora.
Council in Committee would concur that a study of transit operation
in Aurora as indicated by Mr. Langdon be implemented and that a letter
of termination of contract of the Aurora Bus Lines by Mr. R. Farquharson
be obtained and further that a copy of the last proposed route be
made available to Mr. Langdon and that a copy of our current bus
contract be given to Mr. Langdon. Mr. Langdon is to supply.further
information for Council's consideration.
Item #3. Ontario Housing Corporation, f1Lture apartment vacancy:
Mayor E. Buck advised members of Council of a telephone conversation
with Mr. T. Surgeoner of the Ontario Housing Corporation indicating
that fifty suites might be available for subsidized family in the
apartments under construction on Wellington Street, West.
Council in Committee would recommend that a meeting be held with Mr.
T. Surgeoner on Thursday, June 12th. 1975 at 8:00 p.m.
Item #4. "Telecare York" -Inquiry re space availability -Letter 9-82
Council in Committee would advisa, after considerable investigation,
that the Town of Aurora has no space availability at present and that
possibly in 1976 space may become available.
Item #5. Maintenance Bond; Subdivision Agreement-St. Andrew's Court:
Council in Committee were advised of the expiry of the Maintenance
Bond in the Subdivision Agreementwith Wimpey Homes at St. Andrew's
Court.
Council in Committee would concur with the release of this maintenance
bond.
Item #6. South Yonge Street Subdivision Performance Bond -Letter 11~
Council in Committee were advised of the progress of this development
and the recommendation of Mr. J. D. Reid, Town Engineer, that this
bond be reduced to $40,000.00 and would concur with this report and
further recommend that sodding be completed in the vicinity of the water
tower.

Council in Committee would recommend this letter be discussed with
Mr. T. Surgeoner at the proposed meeting on Thursday, June 12th. 1975.
Item #8: Region mf York -Letter 11-38 -Bloomington Road, E. Reversion
Council in Committee discussed the drainage and easterly end area of
this road and would re~uest plans of how the drainage is going to be
resolved so that our engineer can inspect same and report to Aurora
Council.
Item #9: Proposed sign Royal Bank of Canada -Letter 11-19
Council in Committee discussed the proposed redesigned Community Centre
sign and would recommend that the Town of Aurora enter into an
agreement with the Royal Bank on this sign and allocate the expenditure.
The cost of this sign, including letters, would be $4,217.13, of which
the Royal Bank is contributing $2,000.00.
Item #10: Ice rates -Community Centre:
Council in Committee would recommend that for the 1975-76 season, ice
rates be increased from $25.00 an hour during Monday to Friday to
$27.50 an hour and on Saturdays and Sundays from $30.00 to $32.50
an hour.
Item #11: Confirmation of Signs re-Notice of Motion on June 2nd.1972
Councillor Simmons advised that posting of signs regarding the
property at the end of Stoddart Drive should read "Private Property"
and "No Dumping".
Item #12: Copies of Official Plan:
j Council in Committee would recommend that three copies of the Official
Plan be placed in the library, two copies for circulation and one
copy for reference and that a copy be available in the Town Office
and further that a cost of $10.00 be charged for each copy.

scar the respiratory system and result in serious respiratory
disease, lead to the early retirement and premature death of
the fire fighter,
AND WHEREAS the Workmen's Compensation Board will not accept
any injury to the heart and lungs, unless it is related to
a specific incident sustained out of, and in the course of
the employment,
AND WHEREAS many physicians are not aware of the lll9.ny toxic
properties of the different materials now being used everyday,
and are unable to initially diagnose the damage to the heart
and lungs,
