CARRIED DELEGATIONS: Mr. David Paleczny, representing the Aurora Orchards Homeowners Assocation, presented a brief on the proposed development of Block "M" on the south side of Orchard Heights Blvd. Trent: Simmons: "Resolved that the brief and letter (19-64) and letter (19-69) be referred to the Planning and Development Committee for study and report." CARRIED REPORTS OF COMMITTEES Cougeiller Harris in the chair. Mayors Report No. 92 Mayor Illingworth presented a report in which he respectfully submitted the l)ollowing: Pursuant to a recommendation to Council, a visit to the Acton Water Pollution Control Plant was arranged for Wednesday, August 4, 1971. Mayor Illingworth, Councillor Harris, Henderson, Trent mnd Deputy Clerk C. Duncan made up the Aurora party. We w~re met at the Acton Municipal Office by Mayor Duby, members of his Council and staff. A complete tour and inspection was carried out, at the Pollution Control Plant and an explanatory brochure had been previously distributed to members of eouncil. 16TH. REGULAR MEETING. --u-AUGUST 16, 1971 REPORTS OF COMMITTEES CONT'D It is believed that the trip was most worthwhile, but no recommendation will be remitted at this time. Illingworth Henderson "Resolved that the Mayors Report "92 re: Visit to Acton, dated August 4, 1971 be discussed and accepted." CARRIED COUNCIL IN COMMITTEE REPORT NO. 93 Mayor Illingworth presented a report of the Council in Committee in which the Committee respectfully submitted the following: The Council in Committee met on Monday, August 9th, 1971 at 8:00 P.M. Present were: Mayor Illingworth,·Councillors Harris, Henderson, Miller, Simmons and J. D. Reid, Engineer. 1. Community Centre Roof Repairs -The Committee recommends that J. D. Reid investigate the roof repairs and that a further complete report be available for the Council meeting on Monday, August 30, 1971. 2. Rotary Club -Trade Fair Booth -The Committee recommended that the Clerk- Administrator and the Deputy Clerk should arrange the display and set up the staff schedule. (September 16, 17 and 18th) 3. McDonald Drive Agreement re Del Zotto -The Committee reviewed the proposed agreement and requested the JSolicitor to check the comments and proposed ag- reement and advise Mr. Del Zotto 1 and would further request the immediate dedication of the 33 foot parcel of iland with a 1 foot.reserve on the east and south sides and atbject to the concurrence of the Regfon of York, w~Uld request that they construct a sidewalk on the southade of Wellington Street West, abutting our property. 4. Letters of Obje.ction re By-Law 1920-71-The Committee would recommend that this matter not be discussed at hhe 6eeting of August 16, as several of ···the Councillors will be absent on vacation, and that the matter will be discussed at the regular Council Meeting to be held on Tuesday 7th, 1971 Clause 1 to 4 inclusive carried.
