Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Week ~ (a) Your Committee recommends that the Mayor proclaim the week of November 1st to 8th. as Poppy Week in Aurora. (b) It is also recommended that permission be granted for the Remembrance Day Service and Parade on Sunday, November 8, 1970 subject to the approval of the Chief of Police. (c) It is further recommended that the Town purchase a memorial ~rreath and arrange for the cost of the printing of the programs as in previous years. 11. Participation House -Your Committee recommends that the Participation House Building Committee, a project of the Cerebral Palsy Parent Council of Toronto be authorized to sell lottery tickets in the To<·m of Aurora. Parks Development Committee Report No. 227 Councillor Simmons presented a report of the Parks Development Committee in \<hich the Committee respectfully submitted the following: A meeting was held on October 16, 1970 at 3 p.m. to open and award the tenders for the supply and laying of approximately 3 1 500 yards of sod at the Community Centre. Present were: Councillor R. Simmons, Councillor E. Henderson, N. Weller and c. Duncan. Five Tenders were received as follows: 1. Richmond Sod Landscape Contractors Ltd. :32¢ per yard 2.
