PHASE 2,
SUNNYBROOK
SUBDIVISION
The Council in Committee met on Monday July 31, 1967.
Present were: Mayor Davis, Reeve Murray, Councillors
Buck, Corbett, Illingworth and Trent.
The meeting was called to discuss the Development of
Phase 2 of Sunnybrook Subdivision.
Mr. Walker, Solicitor for White Strip Construction Co.
Ltd. and Mr. Kelnor, OWner of Block A, presented their
views.
White Strip Construction has offered to purchase all of
Phase 2 of Plan 517, except for Block A, from Verjam
Developments.
lihite Strip Construction would require some assurance from
the Town that they could build the Houses prior to the
d£finite purchase of the property and that Block A, would
not impede the issuance of Building Permits.

Mayor Davis presented a report of the Committee of the Whole
FLOODING The Council in Committee met with representatives of the
Ontario Water Resources Commission on Thursday, July 27,
1967 to discuss the Flooding Problems in Regency Acres.
The o.w.R.C. feel that this is a serious situation from
a Health and Polution Stand Point.
A letter should be sent by the Town , explaining the proposals
for the solution to the problem and asking for the approval
of the o.w,R.C.
The Town Engineer presented the following solution:
1. All down spouts in the area are to be extended away
from the homes. This would also be beneficial to the
Sewage Treatment Plant.
2. The existing relief sewer to be enlarged and lowered
and checked valves be installed in the sewer connections
where necessary.
3.
The cost would be approximately $5,000.00
Construct an oversize By-pass sewer at an approximate
cost of $15,000.00 and this would be connected to the
proposed cossar Development as a relief Sanitary
sewer and would form part of the Town's Sanitary sewer
system.
DAVIS, C: 'Resolved that the report of the Committee of
the Whole, dated July 31, 1967 be accepted. WILLIAMSON:
CARRIED
Mayor Davis presented a verbal report concerning the letters sent by
the Aurora Public School Board to the residents of Kennedy St. West in the Town-
ship of King. Possicly the School Board has reasons for asking for a monthly fee
from the residents, but in 1957 the Town negotiated with the Township of King to
annex part of King ToW11ship at the south end of Town and at that time an agreement
was signed by the To>;nship of King, the Aurora Public School Board, and the Town
of Aurora, that any school children on Kennedy St., in King, were to be able to
attend the public school in Aurora at no charge to the parents or King Township.
DAVIS, C:
WILLIAMSON:
'Resolved that a letter be sent to the Aurora
Public School Board asking why , after knowing
this agre'ement for ten years , they are not
accepting the same now.
