'Resolved that the Planning Committee meet 'fi th Mr. J. H. Lambert on Monday July 10, 1967 and that each member of Council be notified.' Councillor Trent read the First Report of the Committee for Aurora and Yor!<: Railway Association, and said Time is of the essence and. a meeting is to be held to discuss the budget. Hayor Davis read the letter from the insurance Adjuster denyin~ liability on the Town's part for the flooding claims at 24 Kemano Rd •.. Murray Drive, and 13 Aurora Hts. Drive. Hayor Davis also read the other letter re-Fl~nW Flood. Mrs. Buck said --On Friday night we authorized the clean up do''D there again (Regency Acres -Glass Drive) and they also had the fire pumper out. 6ouncillor Davis advised the engineer and To~nn Superintendent feel that they have the ansver and ask that Council give its authorization to go ahead in this emergency. DAVIS, vi: I1URRAY: CARRIED 'Resolved that since tha money is in the budget, and this is an emergency, that it be transferred from the original purpose to cover the cost.' Councillor Davis -Regardin~ downpipes ~oing into the sanitary sewers. It is going to cost a lot of money but 1~e must back our By-la;r to relieve this situation The downpi~es must be removed from the sanitary sewers all over town. Councillor Davis -On Sunday, an inspection of the area showed that a ponding condition was occurring on C.B.C. lJrc'n<erty. C.B.C. is to be asked for permission to construct a drainage ditch on their property at the rear of the lots on Kemano. Hr. Reid was to submit a report on this matter to-night. DAVIS,H: ~lURRAY: CMRIED 'Resolved that the delegation from Kemano Road be heard to-night.• Mr. Lloyd, 24 Kemano Road, acted as the spokesman for the delegation. He asked why the sewer could not be installed on the To1~ property at tqe front of the homes. Councillor Davis reported the situation is at the back of the properties, not at the front. Mayor Davis reported, Council is trying to help you. Councillor Buck stated that we are not obliged, but we only want to help. DAVIS,W: MURRAY: CMRIED. 'Resolved that the Works Committee go ahead •~th the ditch on C.B.C. property subject to the approval of Consolidated Building Corporation.' REEVE Hurray in THE CHAIR MAYOR DAVIS presented a report of Council in COmmittee of the Whole, met with the Aurora Planning Board. The Council in Committee met with the Planning Boar d, on June 27th, to discuss the Official Plan as presented. Present at the meeting .ras C. Dm-rson, County Planner, and after much discussion the following motion was presented by Reeve J. Murray and Seconded by De~uty Reeve J. Williamson. 'That a recommendation should be brought to Counci~ by the Council members present that the Plan be accepted as presented.' I OMISSION 13th REGULAR -3P July 4, 1967 MAYOR DAVIS (IN THE CHAIR) Deputy Reeve Williamson presented the report o~ the Plaening Committee PHASE 2 A meeting of the Planning Committee •~as held on June SUNNYBROOK 27, 1967. Those present were Deputy Reeve Williamson SUBDIVISION Chairman, and Reeve Murray Vice Chairman, also present were Mayor Davis and Councillors Buck and Corbett. APPOINTHE'I'T OF CLERK The general requirements for phase 2 of Sunnybrook Subdivision were discussed and agreed upon by the Committee. The Committee will hold a meeting with Mr, Stitt, o~ Kelnor and Cooper, on July 6, 1967 at 7.30 P.M. to discuss the ])roposed Subi'.ivision. All members of the Corrrrri ttee were present with Clerl< Treasurer T11r. 1~Tm. Johnson in attendance. Twelve applications~<ere selected for a personal interview and interviews are beinrr arrano;ed. as soon as possible. Of the remaining applications, tbl!ee applications '~ere not selected because the Applicant had not completed the '1unicipal Clerks Course at (),ueens University and the remainder, althouo;h graduates of the_course, did not TOWN STAFF AND SALARIES have the type of experience arid qualifications considered necessary for the Tmm of Auror·a. A meetin~ or the Services Committee was held on '·lednesday, June 28th. 1967 at 4.30 P.M. Those present were Councillors Miller, Corbett and Buck • The meetino; ;ras called to discuss problems that have arisen with Canine Control. The Committee recommends that a meeting should be held with Mr. Brill for the purpose --f discussin~ Canine Control in Aurora. CORBETT· Resolved that the report of the Services BUCK Committee. dated June 28. 1967 re Canine Control be accepted.
