NOVEr,ffiER 21 4 1966 A letter from the Hydro•Electric Commission of A~rora agreeing to install the hydro service at ·Ghe new Community Centre containing a charge to the town for material only and no charge for labour and trucks. ILLINGWORTH: PATRICK: i•Resolved that Council approves of the installation offered by the Hydro-Electric Commission and request they proceed with this project as soon as possible," CARRIED. A verbal report was presented to advise that a meeting between the Township of Whitchurch and Town of Aurora Planning Committees would be held on ThUrsday evening, November 24 1 1966, A verbal report was introduced to outline the success in operation of a new pipe installation at the Polution Control Centre whereby quanti~ ties of water have been eliminated and the by- pass of effulent direct to the creek is reported almost nil so far. "'·--~---~ A verbal report_thS.t a Centennial Cdin!nittee meeting was held this day and that .... the bU.dget allotment for 1966 _is almost spe.'lt; that all projects are well underway if not completed; that the entrances to both parks should be finished Within a few weeks and further that the choosing Of a name for the South end park from contest submission shoUld be decided in two weeks, It was brou.ght to Councils•. attention that a letter had gone forward to the Township of King re a proposed meeting; however; no reply or acknowledgement had been received as of thi_s date. Also,. that the matter of Irwin Avenue as a one-way street had been referred to the Police Committee for study and a report will be forthcoming as soon as the Committee arranges a meeting Shortly. The matter of obtaining a Fleury Plow for the entrance to Fleury Park was introdUced and the following resolution proposed: ILLINGWORTH: PATRICK:. "Resolved that a letter be forwarded to lVJr, Albert Colucci, Artifacts Officer, Ontario Centennial Centre of Service & Technology; referring to a suggestion by J\~. Jack Moore of Metro Tourist & Convention Association; requesting that a Fleury Plow be obtained for the Town of Aurora Centennial purposes," It was agreed by the mover and seconder to witliold the above motion until the next meeting in order that it might be ascertained if 1~. NOVJ.i:ilmER 21, 1966 The type of floor contemplated for the meeting place and stage at the AUrora Community Centre was broUght to Councils' attention and the following resolUtion duly enacted: WILLIAMSON: "Resolved that a letter be for- warded to ]it!:'. Schneider expressing Councils' views in that they woUld prefer hardwood parquet flooring as apposed to vinyl asb.estos tile in the meeting place and the stage of the Aurora Community Centro Complex.
