Town Assessor, who suffered a fatal heart attack while visiting relatives on his

Reeve Stoddart presented a report of the Finance Committee
in which the Committee respectfully submit the following:
A new electric typewriter is required by the Town General
Office. Prices were obtained and it was ascertained that
the cost for a 17" typewriter were similar. The Committee
therefore recommends that an I.B.M. electric typewrit~ be
~chased at acost of $504.00. ·

RGeve Stoddart presented a report of the Fiaa~ee Committee
in which the Committee respectfully submit the following:
The Finance Committee met at 7.00 p.m. on Monday May 25th.
1964, with members of the retail section of the Aurora Board
of Trade to re-consider the r eilliWiug of the lease of the
Steadman Bros. property on the west side of Yonge St., for
a public parking lot and recommend renewing the lease for a
term of three years for the nominal sum of one dollar per
annum, andthe necessary by-law authorizing the signing of the
agreement be prepar.ed. ·

FIRE -Chairman Manning verbally requested a meeting on
Thursday June l8th.l964 at 8.00 p.m, to consider request of
Fire Chief for payment of standby fees to fire officers during
the summer months.
WORKS -· Chairman Patrick verbally· reported the receipt of ~the
new lawn mower which has been put to work.

PLANNING -Chairm an Child presented a report of the Planning
Committee in which the Committee respectfully submit the
following:
The Planning Committee met to study the matter of construction
of apartment buildings at the Golf Glen Subdivision site
and recommend that;
1. The applicant, Mr W.R.Case, be permitted to construct four-
separate apartments containing fifteen suites each, 30 suites
being one bedroom and 30 suites being two bedroom for a total
of sixty units in all.
2. That the applicant, before receipt of the necessary building
permit pay to the Town of Aurora an admini'Btrative fee of
$50.00 per suite plus an additional $50.00 for each bedroom
therein.
3. That the plans as submitted are hereby approved and that the
necessary agfeement to cover the forgoing be prepared,"

Councillor Jones reported trouble at the P.C.C since June 8th.
something at present unkown is causing the sewage solids to
boil up from the bottom.
Deputy-Reeve Moffat said a suggestion had been made to reverse
the playground and parking areas at McMahon Park and asked
Council to think abcut it.
Councillor Patrick asked that use of water hose be restricted
to two hours daily -=from 7 to 9 p.m.
