with Council the Golf Glen Terraces Sub-division
agreement, lVIr Case stated that he filed the
plans with the Assessment Co=issioner who .
reg_uests authority from Council to assess these
plans and then report directly to council.
lVIr. Case also suggested that .the minimum
assessment figure per residence be redu,e·cled from
7,000 to 6,000.

Raeve Davis reported that he had met with three
members of the Firemen's Committee to discuss h.oo per call increase for the fire brigade.
Reeve Davis stated that the reasons for the
increase were justified, and if increases were
included in the 1964 budget, a joint meeting with
the neighbouring municipalities would be called
to enter into. a new a~reemen:t;. Reeve Dayis also
suggested re-imbursing the Fire Chief for time
exceeding his regular 40 hr. week,

Councillor Jones reported that 2.tenders were
received for the construction of a sidewalk on
Temperance St. ,

Mayor Nisbet brought to Councils attention the
Zimmerman process of disposing sewage, which :i.~1
produced by Sterling Drug, located in Aurora,
The President of Sterling Drug intimated that he
is very anxious to see this process used in
Canada, particularly in Aurora,
Mayor Nisbet presented a compilat~.on of the
Police wages and average increases after the
Police bargaining committee had answered
in an advettisement, a remark made by the Mayor
at a recent council meeting,
A leng~hy discussion followed concerning
the Chiefls civilian clothes and arbitration.
Reeve Davis commented that the o.w,R,C. report
hasnlt answered any of his questions concerning
the water situation.
Mayor Nisbet suggested holding a water meeting
to discuss ways of treating. the water. ·
The Mayor then called a water meeting for
Tuesday, October 15,1963 at 7,30 p.m. followed
by a Planning meeting at 8,30 p,m, to discuss the
Zoning By-law.
Counciilor Jones reported that a complaint has
been received from 155 Yonge St, S, requesting
the removal of two trees in front of this
building, Mr, Jones stated that permission to
remove one tree was granted, ·
Deputy Reeve Stoddart suggested that some
consideration shou.ld be given to the formation
of a Citizenship Committee for Canad~~ Centennary
in 1967 in order to take advantage of grants from
Federal and Provincial Governments,

Councillor moffat suggested Council consider
the two year term of office after the year
they've gone through with elections.
Councillor Sinclair asked if Council should be
hearing from Library Board 1 Recreation Commission,.
Arena Board, etc,
Mayor Nisbet replied that reports from the
various Boards are usually received at the first
of the year, and suggested asking the boards
to submit a report.

Mr, Bob Case appeared once more to ask for a
definite dimension of a side yard, wl:lich had not
been cleared in sub-division agreement.
Councillor Child replied that the dimension
in the building by-law being 6 I by 3 ' should
be same in the subdivision agreement,
Mayor Nisbet presented to council the proposAl
by Mr. S, Sorbara in which the Town would
accept and assume all the roadways, walkways,
and other works located on Plan 4 75 ,. together ·.~.-ic · ·
with 3 lots in Aurora Heights and equity in
the Petlovany property.
