thanking council for the loaQ of the Lemon
Hotel photo which was displayed in the
Ce:o.ten:o.ial museum, The Society added that the
museum had over 3,000 visitors and therefore
were co:o.vinced that tho project was a great
success,

been delegated to meet with the fire
committee. A meeting': is to be arranged in tho
near future.
Councillor Manning reported that the Police
Committee met on Friday August 16, 1963 to
discuss several matters,
Councillor Williamson presented a report of
the Property Committee in which the committee

The property committee met on Saturday mor=
ing to discuss several matters,
1, The chairman reported that ~ifr W.L. Heard
of Oathed Concrete Restoration Ltd. M1lton,
Ontario had visited Aurora and together with
Councillor Williamson & Percy Barwick,
foreman of the P,C,C, had examined the
concrete girders which were wearing away. He
outlined a suitable method of repairs which
would be very reasonable and the same method
could be used for repairing concrete sidewalks
and curbs at a very low cost. mr. Heard
stated he would be very pleased to appear be=
fore Council nnd explain the ramnification
of his scheme, and this committee recommends
that he be invited to attend a meeting of
the Committee c.s a whole at ?,00 P.M. our
next Council meeting night.
2, This committee after due consideration
recommend that the old Library building be
used to hold the meetings of the Parks Board,
the Arena Board, the Recreation Committee a:.'ld

Mayor Nisbet urged that the crosswalk signs
etc, be installed as soon as possible.
Mayor Nisbet pointed out that only one more
Photo of the former Mayors is required to
complete the collection, also a booklet of
the Story of Sterling Drug Inc, has been
published and is available to those who wish
to read it,
Councillor Moffat suggested that Council
members give some consideration to outdoor
rinks for the coming winter season.
Discussion followed concerning possible sites
for outdoor rinks,

Mayor Nisbet urged that Council members
study tho Zoning By-Law before it is
discussed in tho meeting of Council Sept, 9th.

delegated to represent tho Town
of Aurora at the Ontario
nfunicipal Association Convention
in Kingston August 25-28,1963,"
Carried,
Reeve Davis asked EngiD.eor Mr. Murray the
reason for the discoloured condition of the
water,
~u· Murray replied that he was not sure of the
cause, however, said it appeared to be only
a temporary condition.
The general feeling of Council was that they
hope this apparent temporary condition soon
would clear up.
