lV!r, E,J. Galbraith appeared-as first delegate to
inform Council of his proposal to publicize
Aurora along with other Communities in the
marketing area, to promote business,-recreation
~~d possibly assist in attracting industry,
Mayor Nisbet thanked n'tJ:>, Galbraith for his
interest in proposing this undertaking,
i\fr', W,E,N. Mann appeared before council as
solicitor for Miss S, White re Aurora Bus Lines,
n'ti:', Mann reported that JV!iss Whiter s bus bua.iness
was good during the winter months, but, has now
fallen off slightly, He asked council to give
consideration to an agreement on a short term
franchise and insisted she have some measure of
security and co-operation, Mr, Mann then ref:erred
to the parking ticket that miss White received.~
Mayor Nisbet stated he hoped council could come to a
suitable solution and added how grateful the Town
is for Miss White's bus service,

the parking lot, and that temporary
permission be granted to park the bus
in the Arena Parking lot,"

Committee of the ¥fuole in which the Committee
respectfully submit the following:
The Committee of the Whole met the :representatives
of Remington Rand Ltd,· n~Q:>, Morgan and lVIr, Lace and
the Aurora Public School Board, on Tuesday April 23,
1963 to discuss the lease held between the Town and
Remington Rantd Ltd, on the Church St, School buildin~
The Committee Recommends the following: ·

Mrs, Moffat also reported that the Centennial Committee
at their last meeting recommended inviting the '

however, Mr. Rowe is opaning the Aurora Horse Show
and Council agreed that someone else should be
considered,

pump, on several occasions, and recommend th~t

4 -as specifications attached, at a cost of
l~1 ,600, 00 :plus 3% :provincial sales tax, being
extra if applicable, from the Atlas Engineering
and Machine Co, "

Tho pictures of the former Mayors are displayed
in the Council Chambers.
Tho retirement of_a Town Works employee,
Mr, Wm, Summers, who has been employed by tho Town
for over 30 years, and added the presentation
would be made at the first meeting in June,
The Band Display to be held. in the Aurora Shopping
Centre, Sunday n~y 1~~h, 1963,
The water restrictions that have been enforced
this year, however, when the now pUmp house is
completed and more water available, these
restrictions are certain to be eased somewhat,
"That the purchase of furnishings and equipme:ot
for tho newly constructed Aurora Public Library
costing $2~00,00 be and are hereby approved and
the Seal of tho Corporation be attached hereto,
The funds are to be expended from the Subdividers
Capital Contributions Reserve Fund sot up under
Section 299 of the }fuxnicipal Act, R.s.o, 1960
Due to the fact that the Subdivisions concerned
have or will have all tho services deemed necessary
these monies therefore arc not required or likely
to be required.for their original purpose,"

The St. Andrews College Cadet Inspection, Friday
afternoon, May 10, 1963.
The inspection of the walkways on Junes Court
Tuesday evening at 7.00 p.m. followed by a meeting
with the Town Engineer at 7.30.
"That the meeting adjourn."
The meeting then adjourned.
