DELEGATIONS
Mrsr-Buck appearing before Council, expressed
her concern over the possibility of losing our Mayor if he intends to
accept the Federal P,C, monimation. Her reasons for this statement
were 1, mr. Nisbet would be thro~ing away his experience,
2, Councillor manning has not as yet, the experience to take
the mayors placeA
]'1rs, Buck o.lesostated that a council member had
remarked that her reason for attending the council meeting was to
ask the mayor to resign, and also called her a "blo.-.dy red". She
also asked council to consider designating a week in elentennial Year
as 11 Hu:mm:r .• Week. u
The Mayor replied, that he had no intention of
running as a P,C, Candidate, and if Councillor Willimason had made
such a remark, it was not said in the manner mrs, Buck took it,
Councillor Williamson then denied making any
remarks expressed by Mrs, Buck, of which he took a dim view of,

budget by next meeting,
Deputy-Reeve SToddart reminded council of the

19th, 1963 at 7.30 p,m,
Councillor MOffat reported that the Parks Board
have held one meet~ng, and would present a more
concise report' later on,

Department of Highways under the
provisions of the Highway Improve-
ment Act for the statutory grant
on expenditures made during the
year 1962 of jl/l56,791.92",

Councillor Manning i~ed council that the
police cruisers have een switdhed over and the
new one is being rent · from E, J, Farr 1 Motors
Newmarket,
Councillor Williamson, Chairman of the Property
Committee, verbally reported that many requests
had been received for the use of the old L:i.brary
building, and council decided to retain th~
building and give permission to the Cente~~ial
Committee to use it during the busy week of the
Centennial celebrations,
Councillor Jones chairman of the Works 6ommi ttee,
suggested that some thougfut be given to the road~,
and his committee will soon decide on this program!

RE: INSTALLATION Councillor Sinclair questioned an article he had

in Newmarket, with regards to amalgamation of
six municipalities re; installation of lag00n

and Development Bd, of the Department of munici-
pal Affairs, in which he suggested might be more
feasible for the municipalities to combine their
efforts re; Sewerage treatment, 1~ ~/!ills felt
this method might be in the long run the
cheapest way to sol'.!'e the problem.
Councillor Sinclair then suggested that council
receive from time to Dime a report of the
activities of the Planning Board,
