his fear of broken house windows and
that the boys in question were actually
teenagers.

MR. Robert Hodgkinson appeared before
Council on behalf of the Royal Canadian
Legion, Aurora Branch with regards to
proclaiming November 5th to 11th, 1962
"Rememberance Week", and that the
procls . ..,ation urge all citizens to support
the legion on their Poppy Tag Days of
November 9th and lOth, 1962,
DAVIS "Resolved thatthe request for

suggested to Council a proposal to raise
additional monies during Rememberance
Week, The proposal was to run a mile of
pennies on the Yonge Street sidewalk near
the curb, on one side of the street, a
small band to engourage interest and an
advertisement placed in the Aurora Banner
to inform tho pul~ic,

requesting consideration of paving
Dunning Avenue from east of Edward Street
to the railway tracks. The Town Engineer
estimated the cost at ap}Jroximately

·Mr• F, Shoniker appeared before Couneil
requesting the issuance of a form of
release for certain lots .within Sunny-
brook Subdivision , Aurora, NEr, Shoniker
explained that the original subdivision
agreement registered requires the town
to issue releases subsequent to certain
stipulations being met and without the
teleases certain monies and clear title
to prope~ties sold could not be obtained,
General discussion followe.d concering
committments not carried out by the
subdivider as per an agreement and as
to the possibility these releases if
issued would relieve the subdivider
of his obligations to the Town, It was
decided that a committee of council would
arrange a meeting with n~. Shoniker to
discuss this matter further, as soon as
possible,

Councillor ffonos presented a report of the
property Committee reFuel Oil in which the
Committee respectfully submit tho following:
Four tenders for the supply of fuel oil to
municipal buildings were received on October
. 12, 1962 prior to the deadline previously
established, The tenders were subsequently
reviewed and the Committee recommend the
following:
That the tender of Imperial Oil Limited at a
price of 14.75 cents per gallon for the delivery
of fuel oil during the period November 1, 1962
to October 31, 1963 be approved,
JONES: Resolved that the tender of Imperial
MOFFAT: Gil Limited at a price of 14,75 cents per
gallon for the delivery of fuel oil
to municipal buildings during the period
November 1, 1962 to October 31, 1963
be accepted and the Seal of the Corpor-
ation be attached hereto."

Police Committee concerning the Police Chief's
recommendation that P .C. McClenny be promoted
to first class constable as of November 16 1 1962

CAB OPERATORS LICENSE Police Committee re Cab Driver and Cab Operators

Councillor Moffat reported that invit-
ations were extended to all members of
Council to attend the hockey game to
be held to-morrow evening at 8,00 p.m.
Councillor Sinclair brought to Councils
attention a discrepancy in the minutes
of October 1 1 1962 referring specifically
to a motion proposed by Councillor Murray
for which no seconder obtained and there_
for the mention in the minutes of this
matter was out of order,
It was subse~uently agreed that the
minutes be corrected accordingly prior
to their adoption at the November 5th
regular meeting of Council.
Councillor Jones stated Council had
previously re~uested he obtain prices
on replacing the sidewalk on Yonge St.
from Catherine Ave suuth to near the
Aurora Dairy Bar and th0> price obtained
for a cement sidewalk 6nd caoent ourb ·
was ~1 1 795.00; The ~idewalk to run 320
feet and be 4 foot wide with a 6" curb,
Councillor discussed this situation and
the matter was left since the re~uired
money was not in the 1962 budget andtbare·
for not a'trailable,

paving of Wenderly Drive and Iber Court
The paving contemplated to be of a
width of 42 feet with 14" scratch coat
t " in the travelled portion and dix
seal on the edges,

Mayor Nisbet advised Council that the
Wardens! Bang_uet would be held on
November 2 1 1962 and reg_uested all
members able to attend,
