NEW BUSINESS
Councillor Patrick mentioned his concern with regards to equalization
of assessment or levy not being obtained from single houses built
throughout the Town. Councillor Child advised that this had previously
tried to be enforced with no success and it would appear that very
little could be done in this matter.
The Clerk was instructed to write to the Aurora Public School Board
and ask if they have any objections to changing Town of Aurora by-law
to amend the times that the school crossing gates on Wells Street be
closed from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00p.m. rather than 8:00 a.m. to 6:00p.m.
as now enforced. This change over was recommended to take place in
September of 1959.
Mayor Murray advised Council. that at the next regular m.aeting of Council
