Councillor Child presented the follo~dng motion : CHILD: STODDART: eThat Regency Acres (Aurora), be permitted to use an open ditch in the easterly water shed from Lee Gate northerly to connect into the conservation open ditch and that the residential side be fenced, Also that the ditch be graded to permit at least a 29 foot opening at the top.u Dissuasion of this motion then took place: Reeve Davis stated that he was of the same opinion as that of the last meeting, Deputy Reeve Nisbet still fe~ that the open ditch is not bdse • . Councillor Adair changed his mind after seeing the property and no;.r feels th1:>.t an open ditch idll be adequate. Councillor Corbett thought at last meeting that this open ditch ~;as a hazard and was against it, but has nov; seen it and met Mr. Thomas, the engineer, and doesn:1 t believe there will be more that 2 -3 inches of 1-rater at any time. Councillor Corbett stated that as long as a fence is put up he can't see anything 1-rrong 1-d th it. Councillor Davidson stated that it is not as bad as he first thought ho;;ever as he can 1 t see into the future he must stand by his. last vote. Councillor Patrick still feels it is unnecessary and goes along '1-ri th open ditch, Councillor Stoddart still thinks it i>ould be a waste of money to insist on a storm se>-rer. Councillor Child stated that he put for1>rard the motion and •rill not speak on it. The Above motion was then Carried, lf.ayor Murray stated this is all the business on the agenda and unless Council approves no other matter may be brought forward. Reeve Davis brought for1-1ard the matter of 1>1ater at the Arena. Mayor l.furray stated that during the committee meeting this situation 1-ras taken care of.
