a donation towards the Santa Claus Parade Fund was read.

the re-establishment of ex-inmates of penal institutions

A letter from Proctor & Redfern concerning authorization to

Discussion took place concerning the billing and collecting
O·f' water and garbage accounts and the following resolution was
passed,

11 That authority be granted to enter into a yearly
cortt~act with the Hydro-Electric Commission of' Aurora

whereby the said commission l·rill undertake the billing
and collecting of "t-rater and· garbage acco.unts for the
To1m of Aurora at a cost of 35 cents per account rendered,
said accounts have been estimated to be zoo billed per
month, and that the Seal of the Corporation be attached
hereto".

Mr. G,U, Proctor then brought to C0uncil 1 s attention: the matter
of commencement of negotiations for easements for the new proposed
watermain and sewer.

for the newwatermain and sewer".

Mr. Proctor stipuiated that the Aurora Heights agreement calls for
cll.st iron pipe, and t"l'ished some clarification from Council on this
matter.

"That although agreement calls for cast iron pipe the
subdivider has his choice in using cast iron or asbestos 11 •

The Council enquired of Mr. Proctor concerning the results of
sampling tests from the Sewage Plant, and also Collis Leather.
Mr. Proctor '!lfcilvised that a copy of the letter written by Mr.Proctor
to Mr. Berryre the situation as it exists atthe Sewage Plant
was to be forwarded to us. Also the 'results of the examination of
the situation and the engineers were to advise us in writing why
theSewage Plant was not operating satisfactorily •
. Mr. Proctor's letter concerningthe purchase of two across the line
starters was brought forward, · · · · '
Generaldiscussion followed concerning Mr,·copland 1 s acceptance·
for across the line starters, prior to commencement; of the proJect
and it was outlined that. across the line starters were not included
in the original tender. '

Mr. ProC.:'tor then requested authority from Council to make e. soil
boring test where the elevated tank is to be erected,

Deputy Reeve Jones enquired concerning supply of hydro
service to the new pump. Mr. Proctor advised that application
is to be made to the Aurora Hydro Commission by the Town
for heavier formal service to the new pumphouse. ;

The Clerk was instructed to make such an application.

that the surety bond o·overage policy be read befor·e Council.
