Mr. Proctor .reported on the original cost r.e .the Centre Street
sewer. Referring back to earlier Engineering Reports inl954

Mr. Proctor advised that the Centre Street sewer had cost
$3,700.00 and that the sewer to Cousins-Chicken Plant was
estimated to cost $3,168~00, and that there only remained
$2,800.00 in the bank towards the cost_of paving Centre Street.
The matter was left to be looked into further with regarde:·Lto< ·

was not convenient for those concerned, Mr. Proctor was requested

Upon being questioned by Reeve Davis, Mr. Proctoradvised that

connection with future subdivision agreements.

Town Foreman, James Goulding ~. the following were recommended:
let... that ,we do not .lay sidewalk on George St·reet north of
Kennedy Street this fall for the following reason, that approx.
400 feet has to be r:aised··from 6 to 12 or 15 ·inches and 2nd. we
recommend that a new sidewalk be-laid on Kennedy Street north
side from Yonge Street to the tree in front of Miss Spooners,
approximately 228 ft. at an estimated cost of $385.00. ·· '

Company engineer up on Saturday afternoon, and who in turn
agreed to_ send up some prices. Ehis engineer recommended -_
cement in preference to asphalt in connection with these -

On Friday evening, September 1;3th the .Police Committee met,

recommendations.

the sidewalk at Yonge and MosJ.ey Streets. Mr. Rosenberg had
appeared last Fall concerning it, but the matter had been left
over till the Spring, since it was too late last Fall. · ·' ·

Bailey asked if.it would be possible for Council to receive

activities, etc.
