Reeve Davis reported on the proposal of the Rotary CJ.ub to
erect. an arched gate at the front of Rotary Park on Cousins
Drive.

After a very prolonged meeting it was evident that no
applicant had sufficient support to warrant recommending
their name to Council for approval.. As a consequence,
the Clerk was asked to again advertise the position by
two insertions in each of the two Toronto evening papers,
Aug.27th and Aug. 29th and two in the Globe and Mail,
Aug. 26th and 27th.

The Clerk reported on proposed revision of the water rates
for special and industrial uses, and recommended that
the gross rates be increased by 87.5% and the discount by
20%, thus making a hundred percent increase on the net
amount.
