NEW BUSINESS
Reeve Davis asked for information on the watermain on Mache!l
Street, and Mr. Stan Murray of Proctor and Redfern reported
on this.
Councillor Davidson reported that the Lions Club had purChased
certain playground equipment and requested permission to place
this in the Town Park in the area now being used for such
equipment, and also :t>equt~tting permission to put up a plaque
stating the club had supplied the equipment.
NISBET: "That permission be granted".

The Clerk requested permission to extend the discount period
for water accounts for the July quarter from 3ls.t July to
31st August. Water rates were also considered.

Reeve Davis reported on the use of the McMahon Park by tourists
and visitors.
Mayor Murray reported on a condition caused by the keeping of
animals in town, and this matter was referred to the By-Laws
Committee for study~
Councillor Davidson asked for information on the Dog Control
Truck, and the Mayor reported on this matter.
The Mayor reported on annexation and the need to meet with
Town Planning Consultants to discuss the hearing. It was
suggested a meeting be held on Friday, July l9.th, 1957 at 7 p~m.
