Carried~ The .~enders were then opened The Committee then adjourned and a.iscussed in· committee. and the meeting of Council was resumed. · ' STODDART: CHILD: 11 That the To'l<m grant to J. L. Graham and Company a. firm option good until the close of business July 19th 19574 to purchase the debentures amounting to $ 91, 290 at ·a net price to the To1om of 97 • .36 cents on the dollar, plus accrued interest, and that we agree to the conditions eontained in the offer from J.L. Graham and Company dated June 25th 1957, and the Seal of the Corporation be attached hereto 11 • Carried. The Mayor thken rep6'~ted on the shortage of water at a fire practice held earlier in the week. Fire Chief Jones also reported on this matter and Mr. Joe McGhee, Waterworks Suptd. and Mr. Stan Murray of the town engineers also reported. The matter was discussed briefly0 Councillor Child reported on the effect of the Land-Use By-law as applied to the Calwood Subdivision, and this matter also w~s discussed briefly. , Consideration was given to the purchase of a truck from the Aurora Hydro Commission. 105· NISBET: STODDART: 11 That Council purchase for the sum of $400.00 from the Aur0 ra Hydro Commission their G.M.C. ladder truck and the Seal of the Corporation be attached hereto"~ Carried. 108 ' -2- ,;,: SPECIAL MEETING 26WH JUNE 19 57 .
