Subject: ·Terms of Sub-dividers Agreement. ·
The Committee respectfully submit the following:
On Monday, May 13th 1957, a special committee meeting of the Cotmcil
was held to discuss changes i.n the proposed sub-dividers agr13~ment
With Messrs. L. Cousins and R; Case~ · · : · ·· . .
As a result o.r this meeting the following changes wezie suggested
and agreed· upon in an effort to allow the sub-diV:iders to get
started this year:
1. Delete the requirement of the deposit of $300.00 per
lot for the last 5 lots~ · · · · · · ·
2~ Reduce the ratio of Residential and Commercial or
Indtl.l!ltrialassessment l;o a 70-30 basis~
.3. , . Delete .rthe requirement of the street; lighting. • .
4. Delete the requirement of private roadway·,<'culverts. ·
A committee of Mayor Murray and>· Councillor Child was appointed} 'to
meet with the sub-dividers and··discuss these• points with: them~ •. ,,
On May 14th 1957 at 3~00 p~m. this committee met with the Messrs.
L~ Cousins and R. Qase, and. a:f'ter ·considera..bJ..e, di·scussion they:
both agreed tll.at .,the Council had come a long ·.way to· help .them! rout
and that if the cpaJtges as presented were made'cthey woula; ·sign .
their agreemeJtts. They also agreed to set a value on their
Industrial land as an aid to this Council when discussing industrial
lots with prospectiye buyers~.

On Thursday, May 16th 1957, both at the sub;-dLviders.signed their
agreements, and this Committee now requests that Council give their
approval to the signing of the agreements. · ··

sewer cleaning_outfit. It was agreed to obtain prices for
this equipment, and that the matter be left in the hands of
the Health and Sanitation Committee.
Reeve Davie then reported on the present layout of the new
watermain extensions.
