Streets Committee. Deputy Reeve Jones reported on the tenders for the paving of Berczy Street. Carried. • • Councillor Davidson spoke on the administration of the library, and reportetl that the library •. were well satisfied i1Ti th arrangements for financing made with the Council. Councillor .Corbett aslced what had been done about signs for the streets and the parking lot~ and was informed that this . matter was being attended to. The Clerk vms instructed to take this matter up ~dth the owner of the Dairy. Councillor Davidson asked what had been done about the Fire By-law for the regulation of the Fire Department, and also the proposed by-law dealing rrith fire hazards. It was decided to discuss these matters at a committee meeting to be held as soon as possible. Councillor Bail~y asked ho~r many prosecutions had been .. obtained under the by-law prohibiting the use of cellars as living quarters, and was informed that no prosecutions had been obtained. NEWBBUSINESS. Deputy Reeve Jones reported. on work done by ~he town men on Tyler Street and Church Street. Conditions on Irwin Avenue were also discussed briefly. Councillor Davidson reported on the success of the Midget and Peewee Ball Teams, and asked for consideration of a grant for a banquet for the boys taking part in these teams.
