Councillor Stoddart presented the folloWing report of the
Police Committee.

The Comll\~ttee recommends that Constable Andrews be· appointed

September 17th, 1956.

Councillor·stoddart asked for all enquiry into the contents
of the buildings at the Disposal Plant for the purpose of
insurance.
Health.and ~anitation Committee
Cotineillor Corbett reported on the sttbrm water condition'on
Tyler Street,and this matter was left for lrivestigation by
thiFStreets Committee.
Councillor Corbet also asked for advice on the storage of
recreation equipment in the Quonset Hut,and this matter was left
for further enquiry. · ·

The Clerk reported that the meeting with the King Township
for the purpose of discussing the fire agreement and annexation
would be held on Thursday, September 20th •

Deputy Reeve Jones· reported on the installation of a storm sewer
on Edwards Street.
Councillor Nisbet reported on the inepecti'on of the new :Fire Hall
by the Property Commi t.tee. · It was, agreed to have Reeve Davie and
Councillor Nisbet approacjl.the Aurora Building Company to have
certain alterations made.

Reeve Davie asked whether arrangements had yet been made··ror·t:ne·
inetallation.of the exhaust fan at the Fire Hall, and he was-

Councillor Davidson asked what had been received from the Ontario

The laying of watermain on Centre Street and east'of the railway

The qujetion o:t' the erection o:t' a. Curling Rink wae then
discussed. Discussion took place on the taxation o:t' the
proposed building. It wa.e agreed that everything possible
would be done by the council to encourage the erection o:t'
thi e building.
Councillor Stoddart reported on work being done by the town
men under adverse conditione.
Mayor Henderson reported on a band concert at the C.N.E.
g~und in which the Aurora District High School Band took
part.
