The Sewage from the qhicken processing plaqt on Dunning Avenue
was discussed,and the Clerk was instructed to have the engineers
to present a report on this matter before the Committee Meeting
to be held on October 9th •

Reeve Davis reported on the consumption of water at the Arena,
and this was discussedat length;. · ·

Reeve Davis also reported on the condition of the sewer excavation
on Rose Street. This matter was discussed at length and left for
investigation by the chairmen of the Fire and Water Committee and
the Streets Committee.

held on October 11th to deal w1 th the amen(j.ment to the Lai).d-,Use
By-Law to provide for the erection-of an apartment building on
Yonge Street North.
Reeve Davis reported on the breaking of.,the watermain to the farm-
house on the Aurora Heights property; and it was agreed to have
the town waterworks men install a riew pipe across the creek.

CouncillOr Nisbet reported on the request .for-permission to use
the G'ourici1 Chamber for a meeting of the Cemetary Board. This .
request was.approved. '
Councillor Bailey asked whether the By-law and agreement Q,ealing
with Consumer 1 s Gas Company franchise had been sent to the gas
companyts solicitors. The ~own solicitor was contacted and
informed the council that the documents had been sent.

Councillor Stoddart reported on the debentures to be issued.
This matter was discussed briefly.

11 That we defer the issue of the debentures until
the opportune time 11 •

Councillor Stoddart issued an invitation to the O~ouncil to
attend the Lions Club Civic Night on November 9th.
The Mayor reported on the garbage collection contract.
Nisbet
Councillor/reported that he had arranged for licensing matters
to be discussed at the next meeting of the Council in committee.
The preparation of the 1956 Voters' List was discussed. It
was agreed to bring in a list in the present form for 1956.
The proposed change of the inaugural meeting was discussed.
