The first letter recommended to Council the amendment of the existing Land Use Plan in the Cousins Drive and Edward Street area. Case attended before Council to discuss the proposed agreements for the opening of their . subdivisions. These agreements were discussed at length, and, .left 1for further consideration at a later meeting, Mr. Lyle C. Sparks attended before the Council to discuss th~ purchase of the lot on Wellington Street West. REPORTS 0 F COMMI.TTEES Fire and W ater Committee DAVIS: CORBETT: 11 i'hat the account of C.E. Hickey & Sons Ltd,, in the amount of $1300,00 for the installation of the new fire alarm be withheld until further notice 11 ; Carried, 105 Reeve Davis presented the following written report The Committee respectfully submit t~e following The Committee has met to discuss the installation of a Water Main along Centre Street to service lands east of the railroad tracks. That the recommendations of the Engine.er. for the installation of an 8 inch water main along Centre Street from.Yonge St., to Wellington Street east of the railroad tracks and along Wellington Street East be approved. ; · 2. That the necessary construction By-law be prepared for this purpose • .3. That the Engineers be instructed. to draw .up plans and specifications to obtain the approval "of the C.N.R. for· the-laying of the water main under the tracks. Copper tubing connecting oil storage tanks with oil burners be adequately protected .ag;ainst possible damage.. . . That clean out openings in chimneys be properly covered •. That oil storage tanks not· forming an integral.part of .an approved oi1 unit be equipped with fill and vent pipes terminating outdoors. The Committee respe~tfully submit the following That Mr. Goulding be authorized to hire the necessary equipment to grade Dunning Ave,· from the west side of Edward Street to the Railway track, Also get the necessary gravel to·make a satis:.. factory road:. Estimated cost approximately $140o .•. oo. 107 Also the necessary fill and gravel to complete Edward Street from Cotrsins Drive to Dunning Ave. Estimated cost approximately $1400,00, Also that the Clerk be instructed to order the necessary culverts for »unning Ave. 40 fj), of 22 x 13-14 guageand48ft of 2.5 xl6 ,-1'4 guage complete with coupling bands. UNFINISHED BUSINESS The. matter of the services to the. Simpson Building was then further discussed with Mr. Garfield Case and Mr. Lorme C. Lee.
