CORRESPONDENCE .
2 letters f'Pem .th.e. Aurora Planning Board were read. The first
letter recommended to Council the amendment of the existing Land
Use Plan in the Cousins Drive and Edward Street area.

The monthly report of the York County Health Unit was circulated
to members.
DELEitATIONS
Mr. A • Lorna Cousins and Mr. W.R. Case attended before Council
to discuss the proposed agreements for the opening of their .
subdivisions. These agreements were discussed at length, and,
.left 1for further consideration at a later meeting,
Mr. Lyle C. Sparks attended before the Council to discuss th~
purchase of the lot on Wellington Street West.

The Committee respectfully submit t~e following
The Committee has met to discuss the installation of a Water
Main along Centre Street to service lands east of the railroad
tracks. Also present were Councillors Nisbet and Stoddart.

The Committee now recommends as follows
1. That the recommendations of the Engine.er. for the installation
of an 8 inch water main along Centre Street from.Yonge St.,
to Wellington Street east of the railroad tracks and along
Wellington Street East be approved. ; ·
2. That the necessary construction By-law be prepared for this
purpose •
.3. That the Engineers be instructed. to draw .up plans and
specifications to obtain the approval "of the C.N.R. for·
the-laying of the water main under the tracks.

On tuesday May 29th, 1956 the Fire and Water Committee met
to discuss the letter (Re Fire Hazards) from the Fire Marshalls
Office. Also present were Councillors Nisbet and St.oddart. .The
following recommendations KBKH made by the Fire Marshall were
approved.

Copper tubing connecting oil storage tanks with oil burners
be adequately protected .ag;ainst possible damage.. . .
That clean out openings in chimneys be properly covered •.
That proper sized fuseil be used in branch electrical circuits •

50 gal per building.
That oil storage tanks not· forming an integral.part of .an
approved oi1 unit be equipped with fill and vent pipes
terminating outdoors.

That this report along with Partl be handed over to the
