The. water sl tuation was considered and it ltas agreed to hold a meeting with Mr. Wes Huffman on Saturday, January 7th at 2.p.m. to investigate possibilities. Councillor Nisbet reported on a <all for tenders for the Disposal Plant. STODDART: JONES: "That the motion of' December 19th requlring the Engineer to call for tenders for an addition to the Disposal Plant with and without a digester be rescinded and that the tenders be called for the plant with a digester only". Carried. Councillor Nisbet then presented tenders for the purpose of the old To1111 Hall and for a lot on Wellington Street West. The tenders from the Bank of Nova Scotia and from Bamboo Investments Ltd. for the purpose of the old Town Hall were considered. · NISBET: CHILD: 11 That a meeting be.arranged between representatives of th€J Bank ot':"NOva. Scotla .and Bamboo Investments Ltd. to discuss this matt·er 11 • Carried. The tender for the. purchase of the lot on Wellington Street West was considered. BAILEY: CHILD: BAILEY: CORBETT: 11 That the Fire and Water Committee obtain information from the Fire Brigade as to their feelings on a location for a new »'ire Hall 11 • Carried. 11 That the tender for the purchase of this lot be held over for the time being 11 • Carried. Councillor Corbett asked that the Finance Committee check into the renumeration of members of Council. CORBETT: BAILEY: "That the Finance Committee be instructed to investigate Council renumerations 11 • Carried. Furnishings and fittings for the Council Chamber and for the offices were considered and a Committee consisting of the Property Committee, Deputy Reeve -Jones and Councillor Child was appointed to investigate this matter and bring in a report.
