J). letter from Aurora Recreation Commi.ssion requesting Council
to pay for 4 hrs ice time per week during the winter was r~ad.

The report of the York County Health Unit was circulated to
members. ·

Mr , D, Ro\'r attended before the Council to request information
on tlle work to be done on the storm sewer in front.of his property.
He was informed that this was. being investigated by the Engineer.
Mr. Don, ·Redfern then attended before Council to consider the
tenders for the extension and alteration of the Disposal plant,

It was reported that only one tender had been rece.ived.
NISBET: "That the question of tenders be left to the 19SG

Deputy Reeve Jones presented the following report of the Streets
Committee: ·
11 The Committee respectfully submit t.he following:
That the culvert on Ed'lorard Street south of Cousins Drive :be
repaired and refi:}.led and that the road be. gravelled from.
Cousins Drive to the·entrance of'the road leading to the
Chicken Plant at an estimated cost of $130.00 .
South of the road leading to the chicken plant, the Oomijlittee
recommend that it be finished when Dunning'Avenue is openeci
so that both roads may be graded in together. 11 • . •. · · •

Councillor Nisbet reported on the proposal to purchase additional
land at the Disposal Plant. ·

Councillor Child presented the following report:

That the policy of installing services in new industrial
sub-divisions or developments under a Local Improvement
agreement and charged against the property, be adopted
by Council."
CHILD: "That the report of the Town Planning Committee,

under a Local Improvement agreement be approved"

Reeve Murray reported that the easement for the sewer on Tyler
St. Had been completed.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
The plumbing inspection programme was further considered.
STODDART: "~hat the Plumbing Inspection program of the
CORBETT: York ~ounty Health Unit be approved and that
a by-law be prepared 11 •
Carried.
The purchase of a quonset hut was considered,
NISBET: 11 'l'hat the Town accept the offer of the Clark Co.,
STODDART: to supply and erect a ~uonset Building 40 1 x 40 1
x 20 1 high, as ~roposed in their offer of Oct. 6th
for the sum of $2,000.00 and the Seal of the
Corporation be attached hereto 11 •

This motion was withdrawn pending further investigation
Mr. S.J. ~elner attended before the Council to discuss the
suggested annexation of par~ of King Township on the North
side of Wellington St. E.
BY-LAWS.
BAILEY:
CORBETT:
11 That leave be given to introduce a By-law to authorize
the replacement of a watermain on Tyler Street and that
the same be now read a first time 11 •
Carried,
The by-law was then read a first time.
DAVIDSON: 11 That the By-law now before the Council be read a
NISBET: second time and that the Council dissolve itself
into a committee of the whole for that purpose".

Deputy Reeve Jones reported on the culvert on Edward S reet
. and on the additional work still to be done. '"
JONES: 11 That legal advice be obtained as to whether the
STODDART: contract with Western Excavators can be terminated".
Carried.
Councillor Nisbet asked that a Committee be set up to consider
furnishings &c for the new Council Chamber & offices.
Councillor Child raised the question of fees for out of town
tradesmen o~erating in the Town, This matter was discussed,
JONES: 11 hat the meeting now adjourn".
