of the Jaycees i;o inform Council the.t they had b1•ought a ''Safe~
driving 11 truck to Aurora whlch was :i.n operation and asl~ed permission
to park this trucl{ :ln the street during the even:lng only.
DAVIS: KING: That the Police be instructed to see that this
parking ~;Jpace is provided,
Considera.tion was given to the Parking Meters on the west side of
Yonge Street North. This matter was left in the hands of the
Police Committee.
Councillor Davidsmn asked for information on the Industrial Committee
and ~l!l.s informed that final appointments had not yet been mad.e.
NEW BUSINESS

DEP. REEVE MURRAY: KING: That the reoo~~endation submitted to
Council by ·the .l\.rena Board to properly drain the east end of the
arena by reditching ·the east end and north side approximately 2!6"
below ice s1~rface, building a cement retaining and foundation. 1-rall
undsl' east end, placing 6 11 tile nex'G footing ancl refilling aggregate
regrading road banlt and sodd:lng east of di toh to road and putt:tng
in sui ts.ble brldge from street to rink for exit and entrance needs.

Councillor King c,slced :lf the various town bodies and organ1.zations
·wishing to use the Council Cha.mber could be instructed to notify the
Clerk in advance to avoid coni!lusion.
Councillor Davidson askea. if anything further had been done regard:lng
the Veteran 1 e lot on Tyler Street. The Clerk w·e.a instructed to
inform »'lr. Waller ·tnat he must meet 1vi th the Buildings Permit
Committee to discuss this me.tter before 'Ghe next; meeting of Council.
Councillor Davis informeo. Council that he hl.'.d l'eceived a request
for the installation of culverts on the corner of Cousins Drive and
\l.fells Street. This was left in the hands of the Streets Commi_ttee,
