Councillor Murray informed Council· that an application for a
permit had been received relating to.a lot on Machell Street.
It was suggested that this lot should be purchased by the Town
for possible future street extension. It was reported that the
Committee had declined to approve the building permit. ~w. Lee
was asked to look into the title to this land. Councillor Murray
also reported that andapplication had been received for the re-.
placement of a garage at present built up to the side boundary
of the house. This application was left until the next meeting.
FIRE liND WATER COMI'iiT'l'EE.
Counciilor Murray aslted permission to extend the culvert across
the creek at the rear of the lve.terlmrks. He l'ecommended that this
worlt be undertaken. 'fhis matter wae left in the hands of the Fire
& Water Committee.

matters left tn the hands of your property oommtttee, we would
like to recommend and present the follov;:tng for your conside1•ation:
L That we operate the disposal plant ~:rl;rictly according to
procedure as outlined by the Department o.t' Health and that a full
time man be put ln charge under our town foreman and properly
instructed as to operating prooedur·a as rmbmi tted by the Dep;artment
and tha'G complete reoor-ds be taken and kept for future reference,
liTe feel it is necessary to do this for a period of one to three
months or longer to get a true picture of our plant for both
operation cost and to oheck on its effic:tency ancl. also to stick
