~th MEETING (SPECIAL) APRIL 12th 1949
A special meeting of Counci~ was held in the Council cnambers on Tuesday
April 12th 1949 at 2.00 p.m. Reeve Coo~ in the Chair. -embers present;
Dep.Reeve Corner, Councillors, Corbettt Davies; Glass; Jones; Murray;
Pringle, along with Foreman J.Goulding.
The meeting was called mainly to discuss the adviseability of at this time
constructing a Storm sewer on Yonge St. From Royal Rd. past the property
of L.Sparks, Canadian Legion Hall to join up with the existing sewer at
Milgate•s Garage. -
Since the earth had been recently moved and the fact that the Contractor
was still available, it seemed the best time to have this work done~
Dep. Reeve Corner prepared and tabled the report of the streets committee
in-regard to this work~
CORNER, MURRAY; That the report of the Streets Committee re Yonge St.
drainage be approved. Carried~
Motion re water service for Aurora Greenhouses~
GLASS~ JONES; That the matter of purchasing a meter for the Nisbet water
main be hled over and placed in the hands of the Fire & Water Committee for
further investigation, also that the possibility of a flat rate be
given consideration. Carried.
