DELEGATIONS~
J.E.Buchanan appeared before Council in connections with the
garbage collection contract he now holds. The council left the matter in
the hands of the Sanitation Committeecdor consideration and make a report
to Council at the Special meeting on Dec.l5th • •
E;V~Stewart appearEid personally, following a request for
permission to obtain a second taxi cab license.
CORRESPONDENCE
A report of the activities of the Fire Brigade was received
for the past yearx, and a request to Council for the yearly grant to the
Brigade. On motion of Councillors Jones & Davies the report was received.
A request from Joseph Fleury for a bUilding permit was read,
and after consideration of the request, on motion of Councillors Sisman &
Jones permission was granted to issue the Permit~ Carried~~
The remainder of the correspondence was ordered filed(~ Carried.
SISMAN, SWINDLE; That a second taxi cab license be issued to E.V.Stewart,

REPORTS OF COMMITTEES .
At this time the Tenders for the decoration of the two Public
School rooms in the Town Hall were considered, on Motion of Dr. Rose &
V.Jones the Tender of William Knapp for $2 10.00 was EKXE~ accepted.
"That the tender of William Knapp to paint the two temporary school cla~s
rooms in the old Town Hall according to specifications given for the sum
of $210~00 be accepted, and the seal of the Corporation be attached there-
to~ ~rrle~
A delegation of the Streets Committee and members of Council made a report
on a meeting with the Hydro Commission in view of having certain trees cut
and trimmed on Tyler St. in order to a1low a power line to be erected to
the Collis Leather Ce. plant'~
COOK,DAVIES; that the Streets committee report be received. Carried~
The Chairman of the Water Committee made a report on the condition of the
Billings well and certain recommendations'i
COOK, SISMAN; that the Water Committee report be adopted. Carried~
Town Foreman Goulding presented a detailed report of the work completed
by the Water Works Dept. during the year and certain suggestions for the
work now under progress~
COOK, SISMAN; That the report submitted by Foreman Goulding be adopted.
Carried.
JONES, SWINDLE; That the Clerk be and is hereby instructed to ascertain
the feasability of putting a snow plow attachment on the new truck and the
cost of same~ Carried:~
COOK, SISMAN; That a temporary water service for J.Stephenson on Gurnett st.
be given until such time as a regular service is undertaken~ Carried:i

Seal of the Corporation be attached hereto. Carried•
It was agreed that the proper motion authorizing W.S.Gibson to make street
corner surveys be prepared for the Special meeting of Council on Dec. 15th.
JONES, SWINDLE; That William Calhoun of the Aurora Orchards be engaged to
remove the show from Town Streets when needed this winter~ Carriedi
ROSE, DAVIES; That a By-law be prepared regulating or restricting the
keeping of Mink in the Town of Aurora~ Carried"~
DAVIES, PATRICK; Tiat Boxing Day, Dec. 26th 9e this year proclaimed a
Civic Holiday in t:B.e Town of Aurora:• Carried!i;
ROSE, SWINDLE; That leave be given to introduce a By-law to authorize the
sale of Lot 27, Plan 30~ and that the same be now read a first time. Carrie~
SWINDLE, JONES; That the By-law now before the Council be read a second
time and that the Council dissolve i»self into a committee of the whole
for that purpose~ Carried~
DAVIES, SISMAN; That the By-law now before the Council be read a third time
this day and that Rule 22 of By-law # 862 be suspended for that purpose.
