The TWENTY SECOND Meeting of the Council was held in the Council
Chambers· on Monda.v Evening, Novern.ber 11th, 1940, with the ·Mayor in
the Chair a.nd a.ll Members present except M:r.Wilson. The meeting
opened at 8;.45 p.m.
The minutes of the twenty-first meeting were read a.nd approved.
HENDERSON, STUART. That $25.00 be paid ta·R.Rolling towards coat
of rente:l of.gaJ;'bage dump, the same as last year. Carried.
The Clerk was instructed to ascertain how many pool tal:>leswere
being used in the Q,ueens Hotel, and to see that the liscenoe be
pa.i.d at once far each table at $25 .oo, which is according to By-law.
LINroN,STUART. That the Bell Telephone Co. be gran ted joint use of
Poles No.20, 24, 15,10, 5, 2, 1, on Kennedy Street. P 0 les No. 3,
2, 1, on Irwin Ave. That the seal of the Corporation be attached
to the agreement. Carried.
The Relief Committee was instruced to investigate a.nd report on
an application for relief.

A By-law was introduced, ~i:e:rt it's three readings a.nd passed,to
provide fo·r the taking of the votes of the Electors to ascertain
whether or not they are in favor of the Municipal Council a.nd
Local Boards elected for 1941 holding o!ll:fice for the term of two years.
A By-law was intra duced, given it' a three readings and passed, . to
a.uthorize the publication of a statement of the Cluestion to be
submi.tted to a vote of the Municipal Electors.
The Council adjpurned at 9.30 P.M. to meet at the call of the C}1air.

The adjourned meeting of the Court of Revision was held in the Council
Cballlbers:, on Monday Evening, November 11th., commencing at 7.30., with
all Members present.
The appeals were decided as follows;-
