THE TV~VTK MEETING OF THE COUNCIL was held in the Council Chambers .
on Tuesday Evening, June 4th,l940, at 7 P.M., with all Members in
attendance.
GUNTON, LINTON, that all Members of the Council, in a body, attend the
funeral of-the late M.L.Andrews, at the United Church.
The· following Resollkti on of Condi.olence was read;-
Death of M;orley L.Andrews
·Clerk.
The Town Council, in a special emergent meeting assembled,
desire to place on the Town's Minute Book this resolution of sympathy
and condolence to the Widcvr and Children and Bereaved Relatives of
our late Clerk, Morley L.Andrews, whose death occured to-day.
He haa served the Town for 14 years in the capacity of Clerk,
and had been a number of years in the Council, a.nd a Member of the
School Board. He had a very full knowledge of municipal law and
practice, and was a valuable servant of the municipality.
His loss is deeply lamented. The Town has lost. a good
citizen and a faithful servant. His memory will be long cherished
in the many circles in which he had taken so prominent a part.
His name will always occupy a prominent place in the
history of the Town, and his memory is revered for the high
character he maintained a,s a Christian, a gentleman a.nd a good
citizen.
MALLOY, SP.Al1KS, that the By~law now before the Council be read a
second and a third time this day and that Rule 33 of By-law No .10
be suspended for ·&hat purpose. By-law appointing William Large as
Assistant Treasurer. ·
HENDERSON, GUl~TON, that colored lights and other parts in connection
