room on Tuesde,y eve,lifov.7th.with the mayor presiding and the following members

Un motion of Messrs Sparks and Linton the minutes of the nineteenth meeting

Mr.J .Banbury and llfr.C .-v7 .Mulloy complained of the damage done their property by
boys on Hal lowe ten night and Mr.lVIulloy also asked that three trees be removed from
the north end of' their properties.
The property cormnittee recommended that the second tier of seats on both the nor5h
and south sides of the arena should be repaired at an estimated cost of $26.00.

'l'he subject of milk inspection,veterinary examination of the milch cows contrib-
uting to the su:pplyta.nd inspection of the stables and utensils,has been under

consideration by the Boe,rd of Hee,lth and the council for some time.The dairies
business and cattle inspection overlaps with that of the neighboring town of New-
market .The Jll"~ayor and M .• o.H. of that town appeared before council e.nd discussed the
subject and it was decided that a. Bylaw should presently be introduced covering the
subj eat.
The -:!ork County Veterans asked re purchase of wreath and permission for e, tag day.
S1'UART HllDoiDERSON that the Veterans of Aurora be granted permission to hold a tag
day on Nov.lltho39;nd th t the veterans be 6lPIJOwered to puroha.ee a wreath on behalf
of the town and have it placed on the Memorial as may be arranged. Carried.
HENDERSON WI? SON that sufficient ruberoid roofing a.t $2,00 per roll be bought
and put on.by town employees ,also sufficient tar/~&&~ to cover roof at $1.00 approx·
imately per gallon;total cost to be $35.00 uarrie¢.•

allowed· to · apend up to $35.00 in order to repair the roof on the dwelling occupied

WILSON HElJIDERSON that the resignation of M:r.J.A.lcnowles as reeve be accepted as ,,

SPARKS WILSON that in accepting the resignation of J.A.Knowles.Reeve,we wish to
place on record our testimonial. of a l.ong and a faitht:ul service that he has given
to the municip&lity.••e haa been tn the municipal. service for twel.ve yearstduring
which time he has been a useful menber of the town oouncil.,and a valued member of
the County counoiJ..i>'ollowing his father,Mr.w • .r.Auowl.es,who was for many years reeve,
and once mayor. of the town, and also attained the high position oi' Warden of the
C'ounty oi' York.fhe service oi' father and son has formed a very high and honourabl.e
pl.aae in the history of the town and county. Carried.
On motion of Messrs Sparks and nenderson the room upstairs was granted to StJohns
Ambulance· corps.once a week for six weeks to conduct a class in il'irst Aid•
The w.w.Committee submitted a report of work done and it was adopl.ed on motion of
Messrs F&rr and JJimton.
Dr.""enderson reported far the relief situation,showing 73 now on relief as against ,,
72 at end of September with four more applieations under eonsideration by the dept.
