THE NINETEENTH MEETING OF THE COUNCIL FOR THE YEAR 1.938 was hel.d in the
Council r~om on Mh~·eve,Nov~?~~with.the mayor presiding and the Reeve,Deputy
Reeve,and Councillors Farr Henderson and Sparks in attendance.

The Treasurers report for the last month and its comparison with the sa.me month
in former years wa& presented,a.nd received on motion of MessrseSparks & Malloy•
A letter from the Dehydration l'roaesses I.td.was read.HENDERSON SPARKS tha.t the
s:o~icitor be instructed to cooperate with the representative of the compan,y in regar
to the substitution of shutters for sash and briaked up spaces. Carried.
~e County ;reasurer wrote regarding discounts and the letter was received and
woUld be acted upon when oppurtunity offered on motion of the Reeve and deputy•
The .!;)ell Phone l.io.wrote regarding the passing of the byl.aw respecting the joint
us~ of poles and the Solicitor and the Bylaws committee were ordered toprepare the
matter for the next regttlar council meetinge

from the hours ot ten to twelve A~·
SPARKS MALLOY that the Ba.dminton.Club be granted the use of the Mechanics ~ll
two nights per week•a.nd any other night in the week. when otherwise not in use.for
the sum of fifteen dollars per month,for approximately four and one half months,
a.ll damage to property to be repaired and the expense borne by the said club ;,Carried~
JJr•""enderson introduced a Bylaw to provide for the election of a. Commission to .. "'~
operate the Waterworks and Electric Light ~apartments;, -~

MALLOY KNOWLES that the Bylaw now before the a:ouncil be read a second time this
day and that ~le II 33 of Bylaw #l.o be suspended for that _purpose.Carried•

The Committee rose and reported the Bylaw as ha.v~ passed in a:ommattee.
The Auditors: report for the third quarte:L" was read and referred to the Finance
C'omrnittee ton motion of MessrsiHNHiJJ!/ Farr and Malloy.
