An a.ppl.ication from the Aurura. Fl.our and .l!'eed. Co .. for connection to the six
inch water main in order to provide for a sprinkler system was referred to the
Waterworks committee for a report on the cost on motion of Messrs Stuart & Knowles
A. further request from M:r .. Rilborn for additional. remuneration for extra work
and·-printing was referred ·to the F~ce committee •
Appl.ic:ation that a rate be set for a. weekly rental. of t.he Mechanics Ha:Ll. for
a. dancing c:l.ua during the winter months was disposed of by leaving the ra.te at
the l.owest winter charg.e for single enga.gements.that is five doll.ars per evening.
Mr.McGhie of the A.E.Wilson Co .. discussed the terms of a renewal. of the Muni-
cipal···liability inailranae.but the matter was left over for a meeting with the
Finance committee and a special. council. meeting.
~r .. :Oawes of the cross Country Highway Asaoc:iation expl.ained that the highway

had that day been accepted and its l.ocation deterJilined by the llept.of Highways
from £eterboro waat through Port Perry three mil.es to Highway I 12 and suggested
a united effort to secure a huge petition in the area interested to have the
remaining link of about twenty five miles from the point on # 12 to Yonge St.
accepted as a Provincial highway.thus providing a reasonably straight continuous
highway from Lake Huron to Ottawa and Montrea.l..Me 6 srs Knowl.es and Malloy moved
an expression of the appreciation of the efforts of Mr.Bowes and his coworkers
and complete endorsation of the project.

charge per light of five dollars be made,and that the seal o' the couporation
