The minutes of them preceding meeting were read and adpp ted,on motion of the Reve· and eepnet~or Bunn. Byiaw if 79l,providing for the adoption of the Ass.essment Roo1.l for 19315 as .. the Assessment for the year 1937,subject to the provisions for revision .was-~;i,¥e:a- introduced by Mr.Knowles,given its several readings,with Mr.Lee in the chair in committee and was passed,signed and sealed .. Bylaw # 792.appointing the clerk to forward assessment notices and perform other duties of the Assessor,in accordance with 1he adoption of the 1936 a.ssess,ent for the year 1937,and appointing the 1\'ayor.Reeve,""eputy Reeve and counc illors Bunn andBaldwin as the Court of Revision to hear the appeals against the said assessment for-the ye·ar 1937 •Has introduced,by Mr.Bunn,given. its several rea.dings and passed signed and sealed. A letter was read from the Aurora General Store asking permission to hold free of charge a street dance on Wellington St.on Aug.28th.to celebrate the fifth anniversary of their business in this town. STUART LEE' that the council deem it unwise to grant the use of our streets to hold a uance for advertising purposes,and that the letter from Mr.Fingold of the General Store be referred to the Aurora. :doard of Trade for their consideration and report the result of their delHlerations to the Town Clerk. Dr.St.evenson,liii~O.H. ,ga~re a. report of his interviews with the Dept.of Health and The liiiilk Control Board,respecting the ar,plication of liiir.Whitmore for a livence to sell milk;the opinion being that Mr.Whitmore was in the same catagory as other store- keeper·s offering labelled pasteurized milk for sa.le,and that the licence shmuld be required form the Dairy pasteurizing and selling the bottled milk to liiir.Whitmore. :W.ALLOY I..EK,that whereas it has come to the knowledge of the council of the town of Aur-ora that the City nairy of Torontois selling milk within the town of Aur- ora without a licence from the town of Aurora.therefore the council hereby instructs the Clerk of the Corporation to notify the City Dairy Co.of Toronto,that it is not legal for them to sell milk within the limits of the town of Aurora,without first obtaining a livence from the town,and that the seal of the corp. be attached. Carried .llir.Stuart reported that the Collis Leather co.were asking that they be per- mitted to cor-meet to the Sewerage System to carry off a portion of their effluent ! 2 ·oeing principally washinga~and entering the system through an opening so high that any percentage of salida would be impossible .. The ma; tter was referred to the Town :.G'oreman for a report on the matter. Mr.lllialloy was appointed to make sure that Aurora was represented at a meeting regarding roads to be held l"uesday,llth.in Ontario County~ The Property Committee asked members of Council,together with the .ii'orernan and his .~assistant to meet with them on Saturday next at l.O'Clock,to look over matters at the Disposal Plant arising out of complaints received from several sources recently.
