THE SEVENTH MEETING OF THE COUNCIL FOR THE YEAR ~935 was he~d in the Counci~

endnoe.
The minutes of the preceding m.eeting '&ere perused,and adopted on motion of
Messrs.Hulse and &tuart.
The :.ayor expressed his appreciation of the redecoration of the counci~ room
and for the c.ooperation of a~~ the members in the festivities of the previous day.
Mr.llilal~oy congratu~ated the Mayor upon the address of we~come which he gave

to the visitors up.on the same occasion.
Mr.C.Dodson,on beha~f of the Horticultt~s~ Sooiety,drew attention to the
--~ -work done oy the society in beautifying the town and prol_!loting interest in the
growth of f~o'(llera in previous yea.rs,.!n spending more than the grant received on
town property; that other granj;s were based on the ~ocal one ,and asked council to
reconsider their dea&sion in so far as the A.H.Society is concerned.
MRJ!cDonald gave his comparative statement of receipts and expenditures for
the four-months of the year showing a sma~~ increase in both the amount received
and in that spent.
Mr.A.Murray asked aounai~ to submit a vote an the repea~ of the Local Option
Bylaw at a.ri"early date.

Mr.Malloy for the Relief Comm.reported,Relief for the month of April amounts
to $775.73;for lpril 1934 it was $813.15.The committee deem it advisable,in view.
of the number out of employment,to continue relief for the presemt,and find work
for the men to do rather than employing some of them full time and letting the rest
out.With a limited number on t.he Govt.relief sehemes,and cooperation with farmers
and other employers the number of families on relief has been considerably reduced.
Aurora has been allotted a CJ.UOta of three relief men per week on the Holland ... and
