Du.ri.ng the conferences. pra.po,sals by the contractors and recommendations by
' the eng,ineer had, been considered. and debated.
The propose.]_ of the ca.ntra.cta.rs to. devela.p and sell water ta the nmnicipali ty
was rejected 1-while his request tih be permii.tted to alter the contract and. develop
a series of small wells to empty into. a reservoir from which to pump was ca.nsid-
ered along with the reca.mmendatiana a.f the engineer.

en~tioti6"' th~t the original contract be fully carried out .. Carried ..
The mayor~with the appra.val of aouncil,:i.dstrucyed the engineer to safeguard
the pres.ent supply of water while the testa and operations are being carried on ..
