and Uounaillors Bunn--Baldwin Le~ and Hulse in attendance.

The minutes of the first meeting were read and adoptedf.O:Il motion of
Messrs Bunn and Hulse ..
Mr.Mc.;Eown displayed a sketch of an advertiaillg sign which he proposes
to erect at the south end of the town on the east side of the street and asked
that the council undertake to support the enterprise and to lay out and keep up
the plot upon which it stands in the manner of a miniature park•
Messrs Browning and "~owe appeared and asked upon behalf of the Fire . ..
Brigade that the town purchase three hundred feet of hose,a hydrant behind the
Naughton bib.oak and a barrel sunk in the creeks at various points accessible to
the fire truck•

for the balance of the winter season.which was unanimously carried;.
The assessment nliltice from King Tp.for the water lot $700.00 was tabled.
A letter from Delgarno and Delgarno asking. to be conaidered when appointing
auditors was filed•

A questionairre from the association of rural municipalitieawas read.lii.r Hulse
moved,seconded by Mr~Lee that they be asked to send copies to each member that
they might study the ·questions.
Applications for fruit peddlers licences from D.Roaen and w.Lombersky were
presented,and referred to the Bylaw committee with the suggestion that the licence
for truck be increased to one hundred dollars ..
The Striking committee presented their report and after consideration in
committee of the whole with Mr .. Knowles in the chair,the report was adopted as

and Baldwin after the committee had risen and council resumed.
BUNN LEE that the clerk be instructed to write the Dept.of Highways ,supt.
of signs that we endorse the application of Mr.MoEown to place his sign near the
highway,and that for the present we assume no undertaking in the matter. Carried•
lllfr.Bunn presented the report from Mr.Langman of the distribution of gas and
lamps and the amount on hand.Received on motion of Messrs.Knowles and Lee.
After discussion it was agreed that the matter of the continued use of the
gasoline tank at the w.w. be plaeed in the hands of the R.&.B.Committee.
