:n.tr.McQ.uade appeared before council and asked that a. bylaw be passed to licence !J
aleaners and pressers.The matter was referred to the Bylaw Committee. ·1
A letter was read from the Ont.H.unger Jliiarah arganisation Committee asking that
the council support and assist in financing the movement was read and the clerk
instruated to reply that Aurora are doing all they can for the assistance of the
needy,on motion of Messrs.Stuart and Bowman•
.illl.l-.Richards thanked the council and employees for the assistance given the
Football club and asked the use of the arena for the fall season for indoor ball
on the usual terms.
The .blibrary .Board notified Counail of the vacanay on the .Board through the ·
removal and resignation of Mr.Chubb ,and asked for a further payment on their grant.
Letters from A·R·Morton and Co.re the raising of the sidewalk in front of the
gas station on the Golf club property.

An application for a livery licence for the automobile passenger trade was made
by Mr.Allan of the Dodge :arage,and was referred· to the Bylaws Uommittee to have a
~
bylaw brought in after consultation with the Solicitor.
Miss Evelyn E:erswell wrote asking if any remission of taxation could be made
iR view of her property being vacant for more than the last theee months.She was

I red that the only recourse would be to the Court of Revision in 1935 •
l\Cr.Large for the E.L.Committee reported tha..t there are several poles on the back l
end of Kennedy St.in the swamp that have become loose and bent over and should be
straitened.Also that the Bowling Club are asking for four 1000 watt bulbs .As they
had not asked the Council for a cash donation and are in debj; it was felt that this 1
contribution would materially assist them.
Mr.rhompson presented the half yearly comparative statement of the treasurer for
the Corporation and the utalities.showing slight increases both in receipts and
expenditurea.The report was adopted on motion of :lireasrs.Stuart and Knowles.
Mr.Stuart for the relief committee reported relief for June as $317.75,for June
1933 the amount was 349.85.Adopted on motion of Messrs.Bowman and Bunn.
Mr-.Bunn for the w.w.committee reported;"The contractor for the new well has been
testing for two weeks at the Billing springs and up to date have not yet completed
their tests.On Sat.July 7th.they had bored down 150 feet···eceived on motion of Mr. ,..
Southwood and l\Cr.Large.

The committee rose and the report was adopted on the motion of Mr.Thompson and
Jll!r.Southwood~stipulating that the work be proceeded with without delay.
The R.& B•Committee re~ommended that a tree in front of the shed of Mr.M • .rarvis
on Temp.st•be not removed,and the report was adopted.
Messrs.V.and H·.Tones appeared for the Fire Brigade and asked for assistance to
compet.e in the tournament at Ingersoll. on Civic ;·ol.iday.
SOUTHWOOD BOWMAN that the Fire Brigade be granted the sum of $30.00 to assist 1\
them to attend the annual Field day at Ingersoll.and the seal of the Corp.be att-
ached to thia resol:ution. Carried.
BOVIMAN THOMPSON that the sum of $200.00 be paid to the Library Board on aoaount,..
of the grant apl.otted by the aouncil ror the year 1934 and the seal of the Corp•

THOMPSON STUART that the Bowling Club be granted the use of four 1000 watt bulbs

The Bylaw Committee are instructed to bring in a Bllaw for the appointment of a
sucaessor to Mr.Chubb on the Library Board.
The Waterworks committee were instructed verbally tii have the water continued to
the club house in McMahon Park.
SOUTHWOOD BOWMAN, that the Football club be granted the use of the arena from
the first of September on Saturday nights at the usual division of 60-40 percent
division of the gross receipts.
