A Bylaw to amend the Wed.afternoon closing for four months for the Barbers and allied trades,making it operative for every month in the year was introduced by Dr.Boulding and given its first reading. DELAHAYE BOULDING that the Bylaw now before the Council be read a second and third time this day and that rule 33 of Bylaw No.lO be suspended for thi.s purpose Carried• The Council •esolved itself into Committee of the whole with Dr.Boulding in the chair.After much time spent reviewing the petition ahe Council rose and report the Bylaw.On the motion to adopt the report of the Committee,Mr.Knowles.asked I (" I I 3 that the yeas and nays be recorded.The report being in favor of the passing of the.Bylaw the roll call resulted as follows,yeas,Mayor,Reeve and Messrs~ Bilbrough Boulding,DeLaHaye and Southwood;nays,Deputy Reeve and Mr.Stuart. ~ ., -.. The motion was declared carried,the Bylaw was given its third reading and was passed signed and sealed. KNOWLES BOULDING,that the Mayor and Treasurer be auth&rised and cted to. seli.the·.Ll~~:i.ndon of Canada thousand dollar 1934 bond,at the market price,on behalf of the E.L.Department,and deposit the proceeds in the said account,and that the seal of the Corp.be attached hereto. Carried. BILBROUGH LEGGE,that the Clerk be instructed to extend an invitation on behalf of the town of Aurora to the Royal Black Preceptory to hold their demonstration on August 12th.l933 in this town. Carried. BOULDING LEGGE that Armisiice Day,Nov.llth.be declared a statutory Hol- iday for the town of Aurora .• On the record <-f the yeas and nays being requested the result was as follows,yeas,Mayor ll;eeve Deputy Reeve,and Messrs,Boulding and DeL~e;nays,Messrs.Bilbrough Southwood and Stuart. Carried. BOULDING KNOWLES,that a rental of five dollars be charged the ~oultry · and Pet Sto~k Ass~ciation for the use of the Mechanics Hall in which to hold their annual show. Carried. SOUTHWOOD DELAHAYE,that the application of Mr.A.L0ve,Wellington St~ for water service be granted. Carried. SOUTHWOOD LEGGE,that the Official Opening of the Disposal Plant and Sewerage system be held on Nov.l9th.at 3.30 P.M.and that the Comm&ttee be instructed to proceed with the arrangements for the same. ·carried. The Property Committee were instructed to meet the Library Board to discuss the enlargement of the Library room. A plan and estimates for the renovation of the E.L.line on ilells St. an order to permit of joint use of the poles by the E.L.Department and the Bell Telephone Co.was discussed and was referred back to the Committee for consideration.
