Chautller on l•[onday evening March 16th.wi th the Mayor presiding and all the
lKembers in a.ttenclance.
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
Deputations were received '5.uring the evening from the following;Messra •
.tlrowning,Gilroy and Sisman,re.the employment of an additiona.l '!nan by the town
on behalf of the junior hockey club!Rev.J.Locke,regarding his wife•s claim
for da,mages through collission with a child on a sleigh on lhllle sidewa.lk;and
W.L.Stephens,again seeking rel1ate of taxation in 1930.
The following communications were rer>.d and tabled; :rhe Arrorney Ganerals
Dept.acknowledging receip:ll of letter re.Patrick,and sts.ting that they were
turning it over to the County Police;H.E.P.C. re change of cross a.rms and '':ir-
~.ng or" their poles,and the interruption of service on Su..YJ.days from 7 .A.M. to
6.P.M. ::mel some nights from midnight on,l1eginning 11robably eR.rly in April;
the Porestry Branch offering trees for street planting,but only e. foot high;

for the Arena sold for the net sum of $14987.27,adopted on motion of Messrs.
Bilbrouc;h Bnd Knowles; the Electric Light COT!1"lli ttee reconnnending the constru-
ction of e. pole line on the West side of Yonge St.from in front of the resid-
ence of W .A.Findle,y ,.north, and the purchB.se of two tr".nsformers.

to provide funds for the current expenses until the taxes are paid.
BILBROUGH SOUTIWWOD,that this Council do go on record as opposed to the
:):d..nciple of the :3ill before the Legislature,to abolish the Municipal Income
Ta.x,appoints the Reeve,Mr.Legge,to be the representative of this Municipality
on the delegation to appear before the Legislative Corm.'littee,and directs that
a copy of this resolution be forwarded to our Representative in the Legislature
Carried.
