MINUTES - Council - 19301208( c· THE EIGHTEENTH lliffiETING of the Council for the year 1930 was held in the Council Chamher on Monday evening Bec.8th.with the Reeve 1 Mr.Murray,presiding and the Deputy Reeve and all the Councillors in attendance. The Minutes of the preceding meeting were read and adopted. Mr.I.B.Thornton appeared before Council,asking for an increased grant for the Poultry Association,and also with a suggested programme for the music in the Arena for skating purposes. Mr.W.L.Stephens appeared and complained of a difference between his assess- ment slip a d the figures copied from the Assessment Roll. Considerable time was spent discussing matters pertaining to the are~ and several deci·sions arrived at which will act as a guide to the Property Committee in submitting a detailed report of proposed procedure at the next Meeting of the Council.
