THE ELEVEN.TH MEETING OF THE COUNCIL FOR THE YEAR 1931 was held in the Council
Chamber on MOnd.§y" evening,~uly-27th.at 8.P.M.with the Mayor presiding and all the
members in at.tendance ..
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and adopted.

The Clerk presented his certificate of sufficiency for the petition for th\t
paving of the raiilway strip on Yonge St.
A Construction Bylaw for the above pavement was introduced by l~.Legge,
given its first,second,with Dr.Boulding in the chair in Committee,and third
readings in regular and legal form,and was signed and sealed,making the nee-·
essary provisions for the letting of the contract and for the borrowing of
money to carry on the work until the debentures are issued.
The tenders for the pavement,when opened,were as fcllows;Rayner Constr-
~.. uction Ltd.$10226.30;1lrennan Paving Co,$10282.50;Gonstruction cc Paving Co,J..td.
$9776.50,and Warren Paving Co~$9553.75.
SOUTH\'fOOD LEGGE, that the tender of the Warren Paving Co.for 4~955.3.75 ,for
paving the railway strip on :fonge St.from a point 550 feet south of Ransom St.
to a poiny 250 feet north of Maple St.be accepted;that the Mayor and Clerk be
empoweeed and instructed to execute a& contract with the said company,as prep-
ared by the Engineers,Messrs.~ames,Proctor and Hedfern,according to the plans
f and specifications prepared by them,.and upon which the figures for the tenders
are based,and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this resolution.
Carried.
Mr.Legge asked l.eave to retire,and was granted same.
KNOWLES BILBROUGH, that the Mayor and Council of the town of Aurora. extend

BILBROUGH DELAH.AYE,that the Mayor and Clerk are hereby. instructeli to sign
the agreement with.the Corporation of the City of Toronto re.the paving of "on
ge Stt.on the consideration of two thousand dollars,.receiveli.and that the seal
of the Corporation be attached to this resolution. Carried.
BILBROUGH,STU.ART, that the Aurora Athl.etic Association be granted the use
of the town park on August 19th. Carried.
STUAl~T,BILBROUGH,that the parking of cars,trucks and buses be discontinue~
during road construction on Yonge St.and that the Police Department be so inst
ructed. Carried.
STU.ART,DELAHAYE,that the Road and Bridge Committee be instructed to pro-
ceed with the preparation of the north side of Wellington st.for a parking are~
