THE THIRD MEETING of the Council for the tear 1930 was held in the Council Room
on Monday evening,March 3rd.at S.P.M:. with the 1\f.;ayor presiding and all the 1\1embers
in atte.nd.ance.
The Minutes of the preceding Nieeting were read. and. approved..
Deputations were present to support the following subjects;The Pedlar People,
regarding the contract for the new Arena;I~.A.Long,explaining the amount of charity·
expended by the Local Veterans Association;~.McEown,asking for a contract to erect:
a sign at the entrances to the.Town;M:r.Rea.dma.n,respecting the milk inspection.
Communications were read from the folJ.owing sources ;The Positive Clutch and Pulle
y Co.making an offer of two thousand dollars,ca.sh,to relieve them of all indebted-
ness to.i the town,up to,the f'irst of the year I930;McColl .!i'rontenao,req_uesting a
water service to their property;The County Old. Age Pension Board.,giving a list of
pensions granted to date,purporting to be from this Municipality;The report of the
Electric Light Bepartment for the Month· of February.

urer for the payment of the following bills,be and the same is hereby confirm~d,and

May,and end on the: seventh day of September for the yea.r 1930 ,for the town of
Aurora_. Carried.
That the Clerk be instructed. to write the Ontario I!lunicipal Association
regar:ding joint action in a protest against the amendment to Section 74" of the
Election Act adapted at the 1929 session of the Ontario Legislature,I9 George 5th.

IGTO'IILES,DELAHAYE,that the Finance Committee be instructed to meet the Officer'
of the Aurora Citizens Band regarding their rec1uirements to put the Band on a sound
lJusiness footing~s.nd report back to this Council. Carried_.
