The twelvthMeeting of the Council for the year L929 was held in the Council
Room on Monday evening N6ctober 7th.with the Mayor occupying the chair and the
following members in attendance, the Reeve,Deputy Reeve,and Councillors Boulding,
Bilbrough,Southwood and Underhill.
The Minutes of the preceding Meeting were read and confirmed.

Dur~ the e~ening deputations wene received and heard ~-the following
subjects;Ratepayers of Centre Street regarding their drain,and Hesidents of Connaugh
.A.ve.a-lld Wells St.south~regarding the additional amount of water turned into the
drain on Connaught Ave.by the catch basins built in connection with the pavement. .
Communications were read from the following sources; I
James Proctor and Hedfern , submitting a report on the drain on Connaught Ave• .

indicating a good fall and the drain in a satisfactory condition; .
The Toronto Transportation Commission,indica.ting their willingness to move
certain guy wires which are in the way on the newly constructed sidewalk.
A·S.Leith & Co.~pplying for the position of Auditors for the I929 accounts.
Notice of intended action against the town by w.L.Stephens and others,if the
drain mentioned above is not put in a satisfactory condition at once.
The Veterans of North York,advertising their arrangements for the service on
Armistice Sunday and asking the cooperation of the Council as formerly;
W.J.Readman,submitting his report as milk Inspector for the third quarter of
the year I929 0 showing 65 farm visits 0 57 butter fat tests and 280 sediment tests;
A.Fleury submitting his report as Constable for the past month;
Tenders for the removal of the buildings on the Billing lot were read and
handed over to the Property Committee for action thereon;
The r:;:operty COiilllli ttee brought. in a report :g arding the tenders received to
overhatll the heating plant at the Waterworks,and recomrrtending the acceptance of
the tender of Geo.Ryman,using Pease Foundry material,at a price of $228.00 complete
